Yeah, you might be right. There definitely didn't seem to be any communication between the two as to tactics, and Brennan seemed pretty unaware of when the finish line was coming?

That bit wasn't really his fault. Van Aert went to the front just after the bonus sprint, possibly hoping to force a split or something. Did he think he was going to do a 3k leadout?

Too cagey by Brennan I think. Should have gone earlier as he's got the speed to beat everyone in that group easily.

Ganna leading out Turner could be a decent combo, but I hope they don't risk him on his first day back, in what is likely to a messy finish. And Turner has become fairly adept at navigating hectic finales on his own.

Half of that is some, understandable, point-chasing for IPT in smaller races. Seems like a not dissimilar rider to Thomas, and will probably be given the same sort of Calendar. 5-6 WT stage races, not expected to perform in all of them, and no one-dayers.
