In the Pog era, If ASO are serious about reducing the amount of sprint stages, then they basically need 15 hilly stages, with two MTFs at the end to keep it interesting?

I'm a Brit and wouldn't have given that much credence tbh, as hadn't seen too much of him excelling in the high mountains? Can't believe he's only 22 still. Hard to see Picnic hanging on to him after this, though I suppose he'll be able to dictate his schedule if he stays there.

Gone unfortunately. Trying to win a tough medium mountain stage isn't compatible with doing long pulls on the flat stages.

Should be an easy win for him. Has done nothing all stage.

Once Yates drops back, the masterplan will become clear...

Have always loved Simmons aggressive style of racing, but this doesn't seem the best moment, or company to attack. Could just be his last throw of the dice, given the amount of work he does in the flat stages.
