Official Lance Armstrong Thread: Part 3 (Post-Confession)

Dont know if this has been posted elsewhere but: New film 'The Armstrong Lie' looks interesting.. 'He had been commissioned to make what most people expected would be an uplifting documentary about Armstrong's second comeback, for the 2009 Tour de France. The famous cyclist, thinking the...

    : 2013 Tour de France, stage 19: Bourg-d'Oisans / Le Grand-Bornand, 203.5km

Yes. The early stage should decimate sky and therefore this is much better suited to long range attacks than l'Alpe. Unfortunately 2-5 (in the GC) are so close that they might just shut each other down until the end.

    2013 Tour de France, stage 18: Gap - Alpe-d'Huez, 172.5km

If only they had one more team mate to pace them through the valley

Such an anticlimax so far. Paulinho to be caught soon. I think all of sky are still there. Kennaugh, Porte and Froome will destroy everyone on the last climb.

No chaos so far. Looks good for sky.

Unfortunately, I agree. Hope I'm wrong. They lost time on that climb, cant imagine they will have much left later.

    2013 Tour de France, stage 18: Gap - Alpe-d'Huez, 172.5km

Roche and Pulinho with 1 and half minutes. Does anyone know if the Col d'Ornon descent is tricky enough for an attack?

Does it look like that will be the BOTD? If so sky will be happy and Saxo's attacking wont have gained much :-(

    2013 Tour de France, stage 16: Vaison-la-Romaine - Gap 168Km

Do any of the sky riders look in any difficulty?

    2013 Tour de France, stage 16: Vaison-la-Romaine - Gap 168Km

Garmin, Saxo, Movistar, Katusha and Belkin all represented. Not too many GC teams with an incentive to chase. All the sprinters teams represented. Could the Col de Macuègne see stage 9 style chaos leaving sky to chase alone for a ridiculous period. Maybe I am just dreaming...

Teams & Riders Nairo Quintana discussion thread

How would Quintana have done just trying to sit on Froome's wheel the whole way? Was a very strong ride today, he must have done a lot of work on his own.

    Movistar Tactics

Wtf movistar? Spend strength chasing hard on the flat then get Quintana to launch a crazy long range solo attack against the skytrain. A stage with one long climb at the end was always going to be dominated by sky. If they wanted Quintana to gain time why chase on the flat? If they just...

    2013 Tour de France, Stage 14: Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule / Lyon 191KM

Chavanel is well capable of winning in a breakaway. I am hoping for some Bastille day magic tomorrow (v. unlikely). If Kwiatowski falls out of GC he would be a good shout, he can climb and sprint.

Rojas :( He will never have a better chance!
