The price that is paid for a Legend

Aw man! I'm sorry! I thought I had researched that line of thought and was opening up a new topic. If the moderators would like to delete my thread, or move my comments, I understand. Thanks for the heads up.:o

The price that is paid for a Legend

Do you think there should be transparency about how much $$$ LA commands from organizers, besides what he gets from The Shack. Is this lack of transparency a negative? Here's what some think in Australia...

    Pedro Horrillo ends his career

God Bless him. 240 ft. over the edge, and down.... and he's still amongst us! Being a survivor of an ordeal that he experienced is more traumatic than many of us realize. When he's ready to continue, I wish him all the best. But right now, he is doing just what he needs to do, taking it one...

Versus: "Armstrong countering sniper attacks by the Spaniard"

The Hilarious part of that is, that he NEVER got to wear the Yellow jersey:D And I'll wager he won't get that chance this year either!:D

Versus: "Armstrong countering sniper attacks by the Spaniard"

You ought to drop the grimacing "Bobke" a line or two, telling him exactly how you feel on the Versus link that was supplied. I just did. I'm sure that gnarly mutant will really enjoy hearing from you:D

Armstrong in Amstel Gold - significance?

Sorry, I answered another poster, who was answering you previously, but here's something I've used. Steephill.tv got me to some good races last season. Give it a try. Sometimes it's frustrating, but not half as much as Versus.

Armstrong in Amstel Gold - significance?

I'm chillin' butthead, was the truth too much for you to swallow, cuz I sure didn't mean to offend you. But if all you've got is tryin' to hush me up, for such a mellow comment then maybe YOU oughta take a nap. OH....LOL!:D Oh, I see you've already gone....see ya tomorrow!

Armstrong in Amstel Gold - significance?

Yeah, Strongest! Wow! If strength was all it took to win bike races, Lou Ferrigno would be a bicycling Superstar:D

Armstrong in Amstel Gold - significance?

Methinks the old mans eyes are too big:eek: for his legs! 38 yrs old, TDU, Tour of California, Tour of Flanders, L-B-L, Amstel Gold. And all of that in training for an attempt at capturing an 8th TdF title???? Who's he kidding? I'd bet there are piles of guarantee money flowing into his pockets...

Versus: "Armstrong countering sniper attacks by the Spaniard"

I agree, almost 100%. Almost, because I enjoyed listening to the English audio from England, online, while watching a muted Versus, and they weren't as LA biased, which allowed me too watch, without going out of my mind listening to the Roll, Liggett, Sherwen & Hummer, pathetic quartet...

Versus: "Armstrong countering sniper attacks by the Spaniard"

In regards to the link you provided. Thank you for providing the fuel to light that argument on fire. First off, when you read an article, you must go in with a critical eye. This quote should have alerted you to the biased piece you were about to read: "Alberto Contador, who won the Vuelta...

Armstrong in Amstel Gold - significance?

Sorry but, LA couldn't win it when Dekker and Boogerd were there, he isn't going to win it now, when HIS legs aren't there.

    the C I N E M A

A little tardy, but, "Up in the Air" is brilliantly written and delivered. A stinging comment on life in our times. It will make you laugh, it will make you smile. It will make you ponder what is going on around us, and what keeps us going through good times and bad. A very good film, in deed...
