From what we can gather based on interviews, Rog wants to go to the Tour + Vuelta.

Looking at it from the team's perspective they'd be mad to send Evenepoel to the Giro. He's not a "two GT peaks per year" rider. And it's only the Giro. The team has won it with Hindley already and they got second in 2024.

The only 'serious' appraisal of what we're seeing is a certain mindset and way of doing business in cycling clearly won. We all know what that mindset is.

Tbh I think Rog was very fortunate to have had the career he's had. There's riders here who're in their prime and they're shipping GT level gaps in one day races - due to legs, not tactics.
