    Giro d'Italia 2021 Giro d'Italia, Stage 6: Grotte di Frasassi – Ascoli Piceno (S.Giacomo) 160 km

It is actually a suburb of Budapest, one of the suburban railway lines stops there, so the previous suggestion of Budapest was not far off. The pronunciation is not that difficult if you know the 'ö' sound from German, like in Pöstlberger, it's the same in Hungarian. Cs is like 'ch' in English...

    Esteban Chaves Discussion Thread

Re: Awful. Used to be at least as bad as Landa's, but Orica improved it a bit. He did an okay showing at the TdS, where he was 2,5 minutes off Dumoulin on a similar, but a bit hillier course like the one in the Vuelta. I expect him to lose about two minutes to guys like Valverde, but a lot...

    2015 Vuelta Stage 7: Jódar>La Alpujarra (191.1k)

Re: Re: Well, I didn't see how the breakaway was formed and all, but getting into the breakaway is often a team effort. Not only can teams pull back certain groups that don't include the guy they want away (probably not the case today), but getting to the front is not easy on a stage like this...

Teams & Riders Peter Sagan discussion thread.

No, that's not the point. He usually has the best speed in sprints, but that's only because he starts his sprint the latest and consequently has to do effort against the wind for the shortest time. Other sprinters, who start earlier, are a little bit slower, but maintain that speed without...

    2015 Österreich Rundfahrt, 2.HC, 4-7 - 12-7

3rd place by Kusztor! Actually, this is the best result by any Hungarian rider since the retirement of Bodrogi. Well done!

    2015 National Championships Discussion

The Hungarian Champs are taking place around the town of Debrecen (2nd largest town in Hungary) on a pan-flat, but possibly very windy course. Last year similar conditions produced an intense race, so maybe we will avoid a bunch sprint this year again.

2015 Tour de Suisse Stage 9 TT: Bern 38.4 km

Everyone's excited about the podium. Meanwhile, De Greef gets another 22nd place in GC. He is getting more anonymous by the day, yet the results don't change one bit.

    Lesser known races results 2014

Sibiu Cycling Tour 2014 The Sibiu Cycling Tour begins tomorrow. It's one of the biggest stage races in Central/Eastern Europe, so I'm looking forward to it. The race kicks off with a prologue in the town of Sibiu (the whole race takes place around the town). It's only 2,3 kms long and is...

    2014 National Championships

Despite the panflat parcours, the Hungarian RR was a very entertaining race, mostly because Utensilnord wanted to exhaust Lovassy and Kusztor by always attacking. Shortly after the start, Zoltán Lengyel and Gergely Kiss made a move that had to be covered because of Lengyel. The break was caught...

    2014 National Championships

Hungarian results: Gabor Fejes defends his title again. That makes it 5 in a row for him and he just turned 25. It's a shame he doesn't want to take cycling seriously because his TT talent is huge, he basically doesn't race all year (or against very, very weak fields) and then beats the guys...

    Giro dell'Appennino (1.1), 24.06.14

Kenyeres being highlighted by PCS :D Beware! Anyway, Utensilnord will probably give all the support to Mazzi, maybe he can top30 :)

2014 Tour de Suisse: Stage 6, Büren an der Aare→Delémont (184 Km)

Should be one for the break unless OPQS and Cannondale works all day.

    2014 Tour de Suisse: Stage 4, Heiden→Ossingen (160 Km)

I don't think Sagan will take it. Even if Cav fails to survive, Kristoff and Degenkolb should with ease and they should challange Sagan.

Tour de Suisse 2014: Stage 2, Bellinzona - Sarnen 181.8 km

Interesting breakaway with some climbing power (Deignan, Thurau), and a lot of engines for the flat (Hollenstein, Meyer, Veuchelen, Warbasse). But since it's this early in the race, I think they'll keep them on a short leash (Cannondale, Garmin and others would like to set a relatively high...

Tour de France General Classification "Captains" by Team

If this is seriously the list of GC guys of each team, please remove Kristoff. He has a shot to make top150, but surely won't be a top100 and doesn't want to be. Katusha's guy is Spilak, maybe Purito if he's alright, but the tough start doesn't favour his chances. Also, Chavanel is most...
