Teams & Riders Froome Talk Only

Re: Re: Gotcha! Didn't mean to offend. Just a joke of sorts. No one is really interested in any body getting hurt, just put in their place.

Teams & Riders Froome Talk Only

The man, apparently, has very large cojones, since he is an asthmatic and takes medication that would be illegal for anyone else to take. Does it help him? Ask Horner. As we all know, some people are helped more by certain drugs or methods than others. Froome has found his niche and he is...

2015 Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah, August 3 to 9

Fox doing a poor job broadcasting the event nationally, moving it from channel to channel within its own network, for whatever reason, but makes no sense, especially for those who want to tape. I don't recall Fox ever doing cycling, and if this is their maiden voyage it shows, a lot.

    Tom Danielson

No mystery here. Is there any possible excuse other than "supplements?" What's he going to say, "After everything I went through, I still decided to cheat, anyway. I'm a fool, but I was desperate to win again." As for the "Supplement Defense," when you are talking about a professional cyclist, a...

Vuelta Prediction: How will GC battle Shake up?

I don't see why TJ won't do well. He's a good rider. Maybe not the best on the steepest mountains, but he climbs well and time trials well. This Vuelta could be for him. I think he's very motivated after getting trashed in the TDF.

Do they have any other teams? Maybe one, and who dat?

Vuelta Prediction: How will GC battle Shake up?

Re: Re: You may be quite right, but I think Brailsford and the Sky types are getting to the end of their ropes and would like to claim as much territory as possible, whether it is deserved or not. There is always someone like this who fouls up the weather scope, so why shouldn't it be him. I...

Vuelta Prediction: How will GC battle Shake up?

Re: Re: Great point. Efficiency is the mother of all ruin. To counter that, the organizers need to be more skillfull or artful or something or other.

Vuelta Prediction: How will GC battle Shake up?

My pick would be Quintana, but the time trial is like an invitation to Froome, who seems to me bent on proving something. I did not think he won the TDF, but rather it seemed more like Quintana lost it in the first week, when the peleton was split, which seems to happen a lot to Movistar. If...

Tour de France 2015 Stage 21: Sèvres › Paris 109.5k

Re: More like Quintana lost the TDF than Froome having won it. Froome was given a free pass the first week, and he took it. Didn't make for much of a race in the final analysis. Seemed to me that Sagan was the exceptional rider, throughout, consistent and powerful.

    Stage 19: Saint-Jean-de-Maurienn - La Toussuire-Les Sybelle

Re: Re: bala v "Thing is, Quintana is holding back for Valverde. Atleast that's the impression I'm getting. I really like bala, but I can't stand him this Tour. So passive so defensive. Today his fake attack was ridiculous as well. Look I attack... oh dear god.. I'm alone here on this...

    Power Numbers and blood testing

[Libertine Seguros Noticed this article this morning on Cycling News: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/night-time-doping-tests-blocked-by-french-law-at-tour-de-france About night time testing to possibly prevent micro dosing. I find it very strange that in France there would not have been an...

    Power Numbers and blood testing

Libertine Seguros Your quote: "It's not too late to save cycling; but it's too late for Sky to be the centrepiece of the clean revolution that they claimed to be. In 2012 they seemed genuinely taken aback by the questions being asked of their performance. But they've had three years of it now...

    Power Numbers and blood testing

[Libertine Seguros] Thank you for an incredibly insightful post that kind of sums of the state of things for the last several years or more. I do not take issue with anything you said. You said it all, and it all needed to be said. Whether or not it is too late remains a question, at least in...

    Power Numbers and blood testing

It makes you wonder why a team that is supposed to be sophisticated and on the cutting edge of cycling, like Sky, would release power numbers in an effort to quell the controversy around Froome's performance? Fog and Dodge? It would seem that something more is required than that.
