There is one way to get to the bottom of this motor doping business! We need some vigilante to steal Pog's bike after a big stage, and then tear that sh!t apart on facebook live!
There is the story where Ferrari criticized Armstrong for winning too easily on the first big mountain stage of the 1999 tour. Pog makes that ride look modest in comparison.
Yea this point is something I have thought about. Jonas was definitely as good as ever last year, but the rest of the team haven't been anywhere near as dominant as they were in 2023 and before.
There was a podcast from a few years ago that covered motordoping. They seemed to insinuate that Jumbo dropped from sponsoring Jumbo-Visma due to rumors of motors being used. Maybe its true, maybe its not, but Visma-Lease-A-Bike hasn't been the same team ever sense 2023 when this all supposedly...
The freaking 2004 tour looks clean compared to this! I don't understand how they are SMASHING records set by riders pre-epo test. Meaning these previous record holders almost certainly had hcts right around 50%. Sure....bike tech and nutrition are better, but that doesn't come close to...
At this point, I think they mostly use it for targeted testing. If someone has suspicious values, it might not be enough to sanction them; however, they can use that info to increase testing on the athlete in question.
I feel pretty certain that something is going on aside from high carbs and aero bikes. However, I'm unsure if it is blatant doping, or some quasi legal grey area methods.
According to the story a well known cyclist contacts the drug manufacture about obtaining said drug. Drug manufacture contacts anti-doping and provides 10 pages of emails showing this encounter. This occurred in 2020 and the anti-doping authorities have done nothing?! WTF.
