Tour de France Tour de France 2021, Stage 19: Mourenx – Libourne, 207.0 km

If I were running DQS and had an eye on press coverage and exciting the sponsors, I’d want Cavendish going for the record on the last day in Paris. Let the team relax today and go for broke on Sunday. Dunno if these things come into play tho’

Teams & Riders Vincenzo Nibali discussion thread

I like the way Nibali rides but he won today because he attacked when Froome had a mechanical - He's been under a lot of pressure and not handled himself well on this tour - shame he's better than that. Imagine the response if a sky rider had done that mmmmmmmeltdown on the forum!

    2013 Giro d'Italia Stage 10 : Cordenons - Altopiano Del Montasio 167 km

Good days racing, hopefully. Enjoying the Giro. Off work tomorrow and the house is empty, able to watch the stage on eurosport. Hope the Columbians attack the race and we get drama. However ever time I get the chance to watch some stage racing without being interrupted the stage ends up being...

    Giro del Trentino 2013

You seem to be suggesting Wiggins mechanical made things more difficult for Nibs, bit of a reach, bud.

    Wiggins Discussion thread.

I should think so too Glad to hear it. There's no shame in not winning the Tour De France in 2013. It would be a bit of a shame if he didn't turn up though. Who cares if Froome thinks Wiggins should help him win. It's supposed to be a sport. Good on you Wiggins.

    Andrew McQuaid accusses LeMond

Paragraphed Roadfreak's post was one of the maddest I've read, and that's saying something. To stand out as a nutcase in a cycling forum takes true talent - see natural talent does exist, Roadfreak. Though I'd rather have Greg's I understand Roadfreak claims to be an occasional ghostwriter. I...

    Summary Reactions Armstrong Ban

Armstrong deserves to be treated differently I can understand the mixed reaction fro old pro's Many of whom were dopers to a greater or lesser extent. The difference between Armstrong and most other pro cyclists who doped is that you feel that it was professional cycling that got them...

    2012 Tour de France: Stage 17, Bagnères-de-Luchon - Peyragudes 143.5KM

Absolutely correct. Froome lost time in the first week and lost time in the ITT. Like Wiggins he had the benefit of the SKY train on the mountain stages. It's nuts to suggest SKY should have played it any other way. Froome was showboating to make a point. The only point he made was. "I could...

    Wiggins, a man in love!

Did he lose the deposit Did Kimmage lose the deposit on his van. “It was Wiggins specifically who rejected it. I went over to Manchester, I sat down with Brailsford and everything was sorted. I hired a van specifically for the purpose of following them for the Tour,” It seems possible...

Team Ineos (Formerly the Sky thread)

I've been watching the tour since the Lemond, Fignon showdown in the final T.T in Paris. I loved Indurain but toward the end I wanted to see him crack, just to give someone else a chance. During the middle of the Armstrong years, when I became aware of how he was achieving his incredible...

Froome is Sky's best chance to win Le Tour

Absolutely. If Froome has the form he has the chance to make it pay in both the T.T's. Pity he's already lost time in the first week.

Alberto Contador suspended until August 2012 (loses all results July 2010 - Jan 2012)

Interested in Alberto Is this what's happened with CAS I read the CAS judgement and they say that the clem could have been the result of contaminated meat, a blood transfusion or a supplement. As the first two were equally unlikely, they argue, clem must have come from the supplement, and...
