And I know how big a fan of Contador you're, so you should know that his acceleration isn't the same as before. To be it's clear as a daylight that he's a different kind of climber now, due to age.

I think you should watch his competition in paris-nice. I'm not saying he can't drop anybody, because he easily dropped G. Thomas in Paris-Nice as soon as the climbs were hard enough, but his only real mountain competitor in that race, Porte closed him down. He still has the "spark" to drop...

What is that "spark" all people are claiming Contador still has? The last time his acceleration was fierce was in 2014, some small indications in early giro 2015, but he haven't had that big acceleration in all 2016. He's more of a diesel climber now, and it's totally normal with the age 33...

I don't understand why people always make the assumption, that these teams line up to win. Orica knows that neither Chavez or the Yates brother can win the TdF next year, so their goal will probably be a top5. Chavez may have a opportunity to win the Giro, or at least be a favourite to podium...

@Tonton Obviously someone will eventually take Froomes place, and he'll be - as you say - "Wigginsed out". That's just the nature of the sport. But for it to happen while Froome is still at the top of his game, they'll need someone who's even better than him. I just don't see that guy right...

Re: Re: The 2012 route was really TT heavy, and the field was very weak climbing wise. I think that explains a lot. If you remove Froome from the scenario and put a climber like Quintana or Contador against 2012 Wiggins on that route, I think the result would've been different. Nibali was weak.

Yesterday on danish TV2 they said that SKY in 2015 paid 180 mio. DKK in wages only. That's around 17 mill. pounds. That's more than most of the WT's budget for the whole organization.
