With Laurenz Rex as a replacement. Should it be the case I would be more than happy that he does not ride for Bora or Jumbo. At Soudal he should have an extremely similar role than he had at Wanty. Will have more freedom in the cobbled classics and will surely be second last lead-out man for...

As for Wanty leftovers: Smith is useful as a domestique for cheap. Experienced and he is still able to do a decent job in lesser hilly races and (very) early lead out as you mention. I would have taken him in the new team. De Pooter is quite similar to Smith with a bit more prowess in cobbled...

Rex is a beast. Think he fits best as second last man. He is great at bringing their riders to the front for the final KM and has delivered key lead-outs to Thijssen first and then Girmay. Visma would finally have a decent leader for Roubaix as well.

So Cian leaves another team in a weird manner. I guess Vingegaard and Jorgenson also created a whatsapp team to make fun of him. A few questions arise, first of all if Mas will learn how to pronounce Cian or Uijdebroecks, or will still call him blobloblo.

With all due respect, I can't think of a worse recruitment than Ackermann. The guy hasn't had a good season since 2021, he has been regressing year after year and Jayco does not even ride piss-poor french and belgium races in which he could have a decent result against 4th Tier sprinters. The...

Magnus Cort: The Man With the Best Moustache in the Peloton

Top10 in San Remo and Strade Bianche, Podium in Frankfurt + 3 stage wins and Podium in Gran Camiño it's not a really bad season.

The UKYO jersey with the bad quality image reminded me of the late 2000's and early 2010's Acqua Sapone of Stefano Garzelli

It's John Wayne. No kidding, a Spanish TV commentator used to call him like that.

It was indeed humilliating for Pogi, not only because of being overtaken, but also because of who did it. Could have been worse if it was Vingegaard. Anyways he is still the main favourite for the RR. In fact, this result could help him - Given Evenepoel huge ego, he will be overconfident after...

Umba was also close to them, but it is being reported he will be upgraded once again to Astana main squad. There might be someting odd about the project - or they simply found better options, which is the case for both Warbasse and Umba.

    Vuelta a España Vuelta 2025, stage 21: Alalpardo - Madrid (108 km)

Maybe it's not the most accurate comparison, but it was good one indeed. Spain is divided into 17 Autonomous Communities, each one with its own competencies in terms of Education, Health, Security, and so on, with Madrid being one of them. It would be like this. State - Autonomous Community (17)...

Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

I wanted Pogi to win it, but honestly it's the right call. A true leader knows when to "sacrifice" smaller victories and repay their helpers. This attitude is possitive and reinforces his leadership in the team. With Ayuso gone (thankfully), and except for maybe Vine who is a smaller piece...

There's an article today in HLN in which discuss a bit more the rumours regarding Lotto - Wanty merge. It seems they will try to postpone a season the promotion of some Lotto youngsters (i would guess all but Widar). I'm guessing the same could go for Felix-Orn Kristoff from our Wanty side (I...
