    JV talks, sort of

I would guess that it was the training schedule, more than the race days, than had the impact.

    JV talks, sort of

Depends on who was coaching them. I think only a few of the riders lived in Valencia, whereas most where in Girona. I think White lived in Valencia.

    JV talks, sort of

Seems to me Lowe was guilty of the unpardonable sin of getting sick trying to ride a doper's program as a clean athlete. Because his team didn't properly perform the UCI mandated tests, they didn't diagnose chronic fatigue until it was too late. I know what chronic fatique can do, and how...

    JV talks, sort of

Skidmark, In that article you quoted, JV is full of horses&$t. You do need to see a doctor for your quarterly medical. And Lowe didn't go to del Moral of his own volition, he did it because JV's no2 told him to. I have some real issues with the way JV has handled this one. It's one thing to...

    JV talks, sort of

After reading this: http://www.newcyclingpathway.com/news/blog/transperancy-international It seems that he first wrote an email to you asking you to pay him. Cos you hadn't. But you hadn't fired him. You hadn't apparently spoken to him for 6 months. No threat - just asking to be paid...

The Lowe Down on Vaughters (aka Knight of the Ethical Objectivity round table)

I think both, with a mixture of carelessness. The cycling media don't hesitate to imply doping when it's a small-time rider without the resources to defend himself (particularly if he's not from an English-speaking country) but don't ask the right questions when it comes to the biggest names...

The Lowe Down on Vaughters (aka Knight of the Ethical Objectivity round table)

I recall Daniel Friebe wrote an article on Cyclingnews comparing Ricco, Landis and Lowe. The archived version now has Lowe's name removed. That apology doesn't look to be drafted by Martin Hardie.

XZTT Non-Disclosure - Legal Issues for the Forum

    1. I did as you suggested, and looked at the Regs. 4.22 is cumulative; you're only citing one of the hurdles that must be met for publication. 4.22(1)(a) must also be met. [hint - Kerr J mentions the relevant criterion in paragraph 232 - he's paying attention. Were you?] You're...

Ashenden & Cycling Australian president on Cycling Central (Aus. TV)

    1. There already is a Turtur thread, if I recall correctly. 2. He may be a barrister. He may not be a good one. (???) Sounds like he has a small 'common law' (ie, personal injury and tort) practice outside the main courts - which are in Melbourne, not Ballarat. But common lawyers generally...

Ashenden & Cycling Australian president on Cycling Central (Aus. TV)

I love it how Mueller sugggests a respected university should do a study on doping in pro-cycling. Um.. Klaus... buddy... remember that New Pathways for Pro Cycling conference that you tried to have stopped - remember it produced a report "I wish I was 21 now" which did exactly as you now...

Matt White stands down from all positions

Oh - I know. I'm not complaining about this. Merely that the reason he should resign is not that he doped as a rider, but that CA has been absolutely ineffectual in policing doping in cycling during his tenure - whether through incompetence or complicity is not for me to say.

Matt White stands down from all positions

I just wonder how one can investigate something without talking to everyone involved.

Matt White stands down from all positions

...and Hodge stands down. Chickens are coming home to roost. I still think Hardie is right - picking on the riders and those of little influence is the wrong approach; this was/is endemic in cycling; the fish rots at the head, and that is where we need to direct our energies.

Matt White stands down from all positions

I think it was Virenque, at the Festina trial, who said he didn't use Ferrari because it was like sticking a saucepan up your behind - ie, everyone knew what you were doing. That was long before Simeoni. But I don't think Del Moral and a couple of others were quite in that category. After...

Matt White stands down from all positions

Whatever White's past (and he was busted in the 90s for doping, which no-one ever seems to take any notice of) there's absolutely no reason to suspect him of sending Lowe to del Moral for doping. The document trail on Hardie's website shows what it was - a required health check according to...
