Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I'm aware he can't enter the British National Time Trial Championship (which you get the jersey for) now he enters the Irish nationals, but can and does enter the CTT national championships (national 10,25,50 etc...) as they aren't run by British Cycling...

I'm sure someone who knows for definite will confirm this is the reason, but time trials in the UK are largely overseen by CTT rather than British Cycling. The national TT championship is a joint BC-CTT event, but I expect the date is due to when CTT historically held the event before BC got...

National feds can veto a design if they want though can't they? The Italian federation did it to Katusha when Pozzato was Italian champion. I'm surprised the riders don't take more of a stand aswell, if I was national champion I'd want to wear the proper jersey.

If adidas want to stay in cycling I would be very surprised to see Rapha sponsoring Sky. Rapha wouldn't be able to afford sponsoring a ProTour team, and I'd imagine Sky would rather be with adidas for all the technical/product development adidas would bring. Would be interesting to know if the...
