    Challenge Ciclista Mallorca 2026 (January 28 - February 1)

as mentioned before, I don't think a team like Bora would sign Marit as a sprinter. He is more likely there to fit into a Haller type of domestique role. The less reasons he has to have personal ambitions, the better.

The 2026 CQ Ranking Manager Thread

more or less, if you include the Duo Normand, which basically was a two-men TTT - although times were taken on the 2nd rider, so dropped riders did not exist https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/race.asp?raceid=23828

    6th AlUla Tour 2026 (27-31 January)

I guess it's because the sole purpose of the race is to promote AlUla. So they finish at the Harrat Viewpoint, instead of at the climb, where is nothing at all. I actually think it's a good finish for an otherwise not very selective race like this, though, and one where tactics as well as...

    World Tour Wildcards 2026

I of course didn't really expect it to happen anymore after Unibet signed Lafay, but I'm actually happy to see a Spanish team at the Tour for once. They have done enough in the past decade to earn that invitation to the biggest race in the world. Shows that you can't just force your way into the...

yeah, it is. As far as I recall, it's the part of the stage they neutralized due to sketchy road conditions, so they go up there instead now.

going by the rooadbook, the stage 3 finish is actually not quite as easy as I thought. Still easy, but at least it's more of a climb- than a sprint finish.

    Tour Down Under 2026 (Men's, Jan. 20-25)

yeah, no idea how exactly it was sorted out (or if one of the names is an "official" first name), but if he calls himself Alexander on his social media profiles, I guess that's good to go with.

    Lesser known races 2026 edition

Sharjah Tour stage 2 finished with a convincing win for the Taaramachine today, a minute ahead of one of the Budzinkis and Adne van Engelen. Grega Bole is around again as well for his usual appearance, but not as competitive as in his earlier post-retirement years anymore.

    Tour Down Under 2026 (Men's, Jan. 20-25)

looks like the same finish as 2023, when Coquard left everyone else miles behind. So yeah, should suit Brennan View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKqykUXtrPA&t=258s

    Tour Down Under 2026 (Men's, Jan. 20-25)

I think Stirling has pretty much always been a sprint, yeah, although not a full bunch sprint. Ewan still had a great uphill kick back then.
