    Giro d'Italia 2023 Giro d'Italia, Stage 13: Borgofranco d’Ivrea – Crans Montana, 199 km (Friday, May 19th)

Enjoying the posts from people saying “if this happened in XXXX we wouldn’t have seen a crazy doper do some crazy doper stuff” And putting up Moscon up as a paragon of virtue? Ha ha

    Race Thread

Dublin was announced for 2020 too (but the pandemic meant it was pulled) so it’s not totally out of the blue. The company that owns Flanders Classics (that runs the race) also owns the Irish Independent news group so there’s a tie in there (Mediahuis)

    le Tour team thread

Vaughters also tweeted after Dan's win that he has a hard decision to make. My guess at the Garmin Cervelo team; Definites Van de velde Hesjedal Zabriskie Hushovd Farrar Probable Miller van summeran Le Mevel Leaving the last spot between Dan Martin and Tom danielson Really...

http://www.cyclingbase.com/resultatcal.php?id=195&idsaison=29&idtitle=2 His 'best' result at protour level is a 10th place in this years Tour du Pays basque He finished 5 seconds behind Rodriguez that day. Loathe to say it but something extremely fishy IMO

2010 Giro d'Italia... Who will win?

How can people claim that sastre was boring in 2008? His solo to Alp D'Huez was incredible and even though he was under Riis' team orders for most of the race he was a more than worthy winner Personally I'd love to see two gentlemen of the sport in Evans and Sastre duelling for the Giro...

    Phillip Deignan appreciation

Another Irish fan of Deignan here. Terrific stuff to win a stage and finish 9th in GC. Loved the way some here/in the media talked about Kreuziger being the better sprinter. AFAIK Deignan is now 1 from in 2 man sprints! :D Oh and the 18 year old Sam Bennett looks like he could be the next...

Cav and Lance down for Tour of Ireland

I'd love it to happen, but I think there are stronger breakaway riders than Phil. Can't see past cav for the first couple of days BTW for anyone with an ipod touch/iphone, there is a Tour of Ireland app, giving live updates etc

Speculate: Who will be going to Lance's new team?

Lance spoke about this last week. He said that Nike "wasn't a great fit" for overall sponsor Whatever you say about him, he does know the business inside out and can attract sponsors better than anyone else

Official thread TdF Stage 14 Colmar - Besançon - 199 km

On the cav DQ, Robbie McEwan tweeted this (which in fairness to Mick Rogers he forwarded on) "Cav didn't really move much, barrier did but looking over shoulder lining up Thor is what judges would have dq'd him for."

    Have Columbia imploded...?

And yet they're still complaining tonight? Seems to me they should be happy with the tour instead of *****ing about other teams tactics

And furthermore who are astana to dictate to garmin who they can and cannot ride for. If its OK for Astana to ride for Hncapia, why is it not OK for Garmin to ride for Ag2r Complete BS by lance and bruyneel

If Cav pulls out he's a bigger baby than I imagined. Whatever happened to sucking it up and getting on with things...

AG2R... If they are smart, they come out stronger.

No worse than bright pink or green IMO Thanks to Roche being in the breakaway today they have regained the leading team "yellow numbers"
