Obviously something went wrong with his tour prep. It happens, I think he will be in the 2nd group in the alps and hopefully he will try for the podium in the vuelta. I would love to see him shine there.

I hope he can also go for the Vuelta in form next year. The Tour is made for him next year, no need to not go for the podium.

I am ill right now with Covid. 38-38,5 degrees fever. Pain in joints etc. I have taken 3 shots of vaccine, two Pfizer and one Moderna. Got it from pre-school where they closed down the whole school after the teachers got it. My daughter got 40,5 degrees fever.

He obviously could have continued winning and even podium GT:s if would have gone for a more conservative racing tactics. Hell maybe even 3 more years. Win some week long stage races and win GT stages and Podium and maybe KOM jerseys. But he was used to win in a certain way, the way we all...

Yes he is too good for that. The sad truth is that if he stays upright the whole season the results will come. The team is so good now that maybe he can relax a little bit and stay out of trouble.

Cobbled stage=Crash Fiesta and 50 % of the contenders will be gone. I like the action but I prefer that everyone will be fully fit when the real GC stages begin.

From the Netflix documentary you could see that he was not the right guy to go to Movistar. When he criticized Movistar tactics as the only team to ride after punctures/crashes and so on. Why did he move to a team when he knows how the DS etc. thinks. Movistar made e mistake here.
