I wasn't piling on. Actually feel bad for the moderator.

    Vuelta a España Vuelta a España 2025, Stage 16: Poio/Poyo – Castro de Herville/Erville (167.9k)

Sucks to be a moderator. Another victim in this hypocritical world where eyes are closed but then the moderator can't close his. Luckily Vuelta game is a distraction. Anyway, Vuelta is handling it poorly. At least they are doing better then the previous time as now at least there was a stage...

The 2025 CQ Ranking Manager Thread

Ide Schelling, which I have in my team, is retiring already! Says peloton is going to fast for him nowadays and it's not fun anymore.

Power Data Estimates for the climbing stages

Widar faster than Pogacar on Tignes (steepest part). Over a minute faster.

    Men's U23 races and talents

I can't find it on HBO Max at least! This was a killer. Odd that there is no broadcast as this defines the whole race.

Doping you can do alone. You don't need your team for it. Motors in a bike... The whole team needs to be complicit. We had Roglic move from Visma to Red Bull. He then convinced them it's ok to have a motor as he was using it at Visma? Specialized thinks... sure. Good idea. That will boost...

Might regret this in 10 years but I think all comments about motors are just ridiculing this whole forum. Makes this the place for tin foil hats. Easy to brush of all 'clinic' as a result as the place of conspiracy moon landing rejecting fools. History, other sports and common sense all...

Sky/Ineos Head Carer of 14 years discovered as member of Aderlass doping ring (Megathread)

Really good article, using this to reflect on doping in cycling (and lack of curiosity of press corps). Effectively everyone forced to be part of the show as marketing bumps with journalism. https://defector.com/an-anatomy-of-the-doping-story-that-has-the-tour-de-france-press-room-buzzing

Effectively a FTP test and above 7wkg. Nothing to see here, obviously just the natural GOAT. It's all plausible as they eat a lot of carbs (important for a 20 minute effort like this obviously) and he only a year ago got a good coach. That and natural talent makes this completely believable...

    Remco Evenepoel

In cycling you never know. Sky years were much slower than before and after but something was amiss nonetheless. However, there are scales to the madness. Evenepoel could very well be on the clean side. Great TT, ok in the mountains. Most days at least. Not implausible.

    Tadej Pogacar and Mauro Giannetti

Eurosport has multicam. We need an app that uses those streams, completely ignores Pogacar and with proper commentary covering those images. Then yesterday's stage was amazing and most races would be better. Just add a footnote that Pogacar is there as well but completely ignore him and Gianetti...

On a normal bike faster on the flat part of the TT. Makes complete sense.

I already do indeed. That was logical racing. No watt bombs but eking out max performance at the end. That made sense. Nothing Pogacar, and quite some others, do does.
