    Doping in XC skiing

Re: Re: OK found it here: http://antidoping.no/om-antidoping-norge/nyheter/patalenemndens-vedtak-i-sak-mot-therese-johaug/ only available in Norwegian as far as I can tell. Peculiar that the reasoning about the low dose that was so clearly communicated by ADNO early on didn't make it to this...

Re: Very interested in this as well. Is the whole suggestion available somewhere? More than a year but short enough to give her time to prepare for the olympics. The Sundby case was a joke, a three month ban to be served off season. This feels very tailored as well.

Re: Re: Yes, it very peculiar how many of the very top skiers that do have asthma. I recall this being debated in the early nineties in Sweden as well. It would be interesting to know how many olympics and worlds that have been won without Salbumetol in the last 20 years. To me it's clear that...

"It's not wrong. They may not have had asthma but they did seem short on breath, the nebulizer treated that symptom"   This just keeps getting worse. Any other country and there would have been a team ban issued already.

I miss how your link relates to your post. Wouldn't the Stefano Agostini case be a better case to compare with anyway? Same substance, same cream and only a few years old. He got 15 months in 2013 and chose to retire.

Calle Halfvarsson (swe) diagnosed with asthma. Great timing!

Boring press conference.Nothing new at all but a more realistic reaction than the first appearance. Apparently her prison-orange T-shirt is what most people commented on after it.

Re: This was a joke, right? If not: yes I expect the doctors in that position to bother to shift their wrists back and forth a few times to check the package. I also kind of assume the cream was placed with the front facing the customer.

I think Therese bought it herself. Doc knew of course but I think she got it. I don't think it was systematically to the point where she had gotten clear instructions on how to use it. I think Johaug have gotten the tip from someone that this cream really helps you and she gave in, starting to...

    Doping in XC skiing

Re: Funny! It actually explains a lot if she bought the cream herself. Wouldn't it make sense if the cream was the actual means of doping? Sure, not as effective but it would make it more of a grey area matter since it's just cream and you could buy it over the counter. Norway loves grey...

Re: Re: No because the theory suggests the HSV or sun burn isn't significant at all. Even if the theory would be true I really doubt they would induce the sores to create a more plausible cover story. It is way more likely that it just simply happened to flare up and was treated by medicines...

I don't see it. Won't it be problematic to link that cream to treating her sunburn as it's not intended for that at all? And still it is not like she had a TUE and was allowed to do it anyways... The crappy doctor defence is outdated. Athletes can't and shouldn't be able to avoid bans by having...
