    I have to agree, My aunt brought me a Peugeot Michelin wool jersey back from France in the early to mid 80's with teh Shell logo on the shoulders, still one of my all time favorite kits

    I think i read that the accelerometers were being used to measure cadence without having to use any additional instruments...i think it sound pretty interesting

    actualy the selling point is the free floating of the shoe while still attached to the pedal that reduces strain on the knee...but lets not let facts get in the way of a good rant...

    road bike advice

    As a fellow large rider (5'10"...225lbs former Alpine Ski Racer) my favorite bike is the Specialized Roubaix. It is very comfortable and versatile...good luck on the cross trainning...(new starting @ $1900 not sure about used)

    Cross training for cycling

    I road alongside a couple guys at different points on the course...with the gearing they had they seemed to be able to climb just fine...i did not see them descend though...that would have been interesting.
