    Re: Re: I had a friend who was rached 19th in the world and was lined up next to Thorpe. Gun goes, they dive in, he comes up to breath and all he can see is Thropes feet. Thinks "how do I beat that?" and retired after the race. My Friend is 6 foot 8..... :eek:

    Re: I've raced against PvdH (we're the same age) and I watched him as a 15 year old win the 100m free by over a second in a World Class event. He was something special then, doping or not. Popov up close was also pretty impressive...

    Now why does the part about Varjas showing an early rudimentary version of a motor and admitted it may have been used as early as 1998. He suggested that it best worked with an extremely high cadence. Make me think of a certain high cadence cyclist prominent from 1999?

    Re: I finished Hank Paulson's book on China. In it he says in a meeting just after the 1996 Olympics, with a very senior Chinese official, the Chinese official said that China's success was down to "Chinese hard work and Western technology." Which Hank took to mean doping.

    Wenger calling for results to be changed if players test positive is fine - however, his timing of it being after a loss with an opposing player getting busted shortly thereafter suggests a link... especially after the opposing manager mentions (takes a veiled jibe at) Wenger's own team? And...
