Hot racing coming up in Australia

Look for one of the young Aussies to go on the attack over the last KOM... Robbie Hucker, Chris Hamilton, Lucas Hamilton, Pat Lane, maybe Haig, but he'll more than likely be on leadout duties for Ewan.

    Tour de l'Avenir 2015, August 22 - August 29

Re: According to his Strava file it was quite a ride (not that the figures are necessarily accurate?) But that's lots of KOMs! He is a serious talent. https://www.strava.com/activities/380292486/segments/9091664794 Power and a couple of other Aussie team riders are already back home, so...

Re: Re: Yeah he did :o His background is track... was quick and did heaps with NSWIS as a junior. And, as I said, then Orica came knocking. You don't have to do too much digging to know this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caleb_Ewan Track 2011 1st Jersey rainbow World Junior Omnium...

    Tour de l'Avenir 2015, August 22 - August 29

Time flies, but I think I remember him doing the Bendigo Madison in 2012, which would make him about 18 at the time? He was still doing plenty of track that year, but certainly changed tack once Orica came knocking.

    2015 Tour Down Under, Jan 18-25 (2.uwt)

Don't tell Vancouver, in his haste to bag anything and everything about this race... he reckons OGE were wasting their efforts :)

Richie Porte - what do we know about him?

Commentator (Matt Keenan) actually made mention of the fact that he is carrying more weight than this time last year? To my eyes he looked like he could ride over the jumps. It is a hilly course, perfectly suited to Porte.

Kwiat Beats the wheelsuckers! Best thing of worlds?

Agree with this. He is an A Grader. A wheelsucker he may be, but his palmares suggests that he is an A grade rider. A grade riders convert opportunities to wins, Gerrans does that. B graders don't win LBL... just ask Vino. That's of course forgetting his MSR win, Tour stage wins, national...
