    Isaac Del Toro thread

No way! :D Del Toro is like an A440 equal temperament pitch corrected modern pop song with studio gimmicks like narrow handlebars, aero helmet and skinsuit. Valverde is a passionately crafted classic with natural vocals and meaningful lyrics.

Grisel just crushed everyone in the slightly reduced bunch sprint in Taiwan. He's the new race leader as well I think, taking over from his teammate Matthew Fox. The ultimate farm race for Lotto.

    Modern Adventure Pro Cycling Mega-thread

They've been carried hard by their Southern Hemisphere riders. But I think most teams who haven't done P-N or T-A have been quiet lately. :D Scott McGill almost won a stage in Istria, Oliver did about as well as they could have hoped for in the Belgian races. Pickrell just isn't durable enough...

For me he's also quite Valverde-esque in a lot of ways. Both are great in medium mountains/hills, amazing sprint, slightly suspect in the big mountain stages (low sample-size for Del Toro, mind), good to very good TT at their best, not always spot on tactically, capable rouleurs, consistently in...

    Who is Bora's true leader???

DFM being sabotaged by his own domestiques, so he's not the true leader either.

He's a bit like a medium-mountain Temu version of Superman Lopez. Can hang with or beat the best on a very good day.

I know it's tempting to try to jinx riders you don't have, but come on! :D He's barely halfway to profit yet.

Nice to see them still prioritizing Frenchmen. Jegat will probably be seen as a result-getter in smaller hilly/climby races instead of primarily being signed as a domestique. Decathlon have lost/gotten rid of a lot of those kinds of riders in recent years: Baudin, Cosnefroy, Lafat, Berthet...

Just watched the replay of the stage. Was a pretty good one, but the only thing I really felt compelled to come here and comment on was how great Carapaz looks on a bike when he's attacking. Now you just went and made my idea look very un-spontaneous. :D

The 2026 CQ Ranking Manager Thread

I was aware of niggling health issues, like recurring back pain etc. which lowered my enthusiasm for him even more. I can't remember reading about knee problems, but I wasn't going to pick him anyway so I didn't research him that much. He did miss some CX races early on I think, which could have...

Nobody followed him, so it didn't matter. If he had someone in his wheel, it would have hurt Valgren for sure. The gap wasn't that big in the end. But maybe he would have come to his senses if that was the case.
