    Tom 'Pidders' Pidcock

As a climber & time trialist it's actually the exact opposite. I know Leipheimer isn't liked on this forum, because he was a super boring rider. But that guy won on top of the Rettenbachferner beating Ullrich & Evans. That statement is nearly comically wrong if we talk about the...

    Tom 'Pidders' Pidcock

No he can't. We also thought Leipheimer could win the Giro d'Italia after he was 2nd at the 2008 Vuelta a Espana. And that race actually had a proper TT additionally to the 1 1/2 true mountain stages.

    João Almeida - Bota Lume

Almeida & Del Torro Co-leadership against potentially Vingegaard again sounds wisely for a path to beat him!

    Juan Ayuso discussion thread

Sure Ayuso at this point is the new Evgeni Berzin! Only that he didn't even win the 2023 Tour de Suisse as the new super talent due to his inconsistency contrary to Berzin's win at the 1994 Giro d'Italia!

    Vuelta a España 2025 discussion

There's a former Giro d'Italia winner and grand tour superstar on the startlist! So Vingegaard still has to dig deep if he wants to win the 2025 Vuelta a Espana! Otherwise we're going to see a happy panda!

Tour de France Tour de France 2026 route rumours

Galibier-Alpe d'Huez simply is the same as Pailheres-Plateau de Beille It's all about the big MTF. But with a demanding mountain beforehand to tax the legs and guarantee attacks & big gaps between the favorites on the final climb. You just need to know what you want from this stage. If it's...

    Vuelta a España 2025 discussion

I know what you mean and I actually agree. But I don't know if the Vuelta a Espana actually is the right grand tour for someone like Riccitello. I would have let Riccitello concentrate on his "home race" the Giro d'Italia instead. Whether for general classification or stage wins and/or the...

Teams & Riders The Great Big Cycling Transfers, Extensions, and Rumours Thread

Wait. You think that's going to change with a guy unable to win any grand tour other than the Vuelta a Espana!? Apart from one Giro d'Italia where he had all luck in the world with 2 stronger contenders going out of course.

Teams & Riders Jonas Vingegaard thread: Love in Iberia

Below 55kg at 1.74m. Less body fat and more wesp waist than Ariana Grande. Going on legendary long-range mountain attacks and / or winning the big MTF in the Pyrenees. Being denied overall victory by your own team when the win is already within reach.

Teams & Riders Cian Uijtdebroeks - From the wetlands to the top of cycling

It's after the Tour de France and before the Vuelta a Espana. There won't be a single Visma rider prepared to be in contention at San Sebastian. Their budget isn't endless.

    Vuelta a España 2025 discussion

It was introduced around 2012. Those earlier routes in the zeros and mid/late 90s were even more horrendous. They made this every 2-3 day 30-60 minutes GC action their trademark. Somehow it worked out tbh. But of course with Valverde & Purito they had the guys for it as well.
