Terrible weather, and I think the course is tougher than on paper, but we'll see.
The climb is actually more like 1km+1false flat and then the climb. It will drain them over the unusually long distance and especially in those conditions.
Pedersen, Tiller, Skaarseth those kind of strong power...
If he doesn't lose minutes in the wind today I think Barguil should give it a go. The parcours makes me think Froome is gonna crack at some point. This should be a wide open race, but I think someone like Barguil, Zakarin or Lopez even will take it. If I had to bet I'd spread some around on the...

Contador had an extremely slim chance if any at beating Nibali at that form with that deficit. No one was dropping him that year. Look at Hautacam, look at the numbers.

Ski jumpers are known to be very detail oriented also, which I can imagine can be an advantage in cycling.
Again, especially the TT, so that might be another factor to explain why he found his strength there.

Could have been really interesting if they were healthy. Rolland won the mtf in the route du sud, so one would think there was a plan to let him try something in the GC given the route this year. Could have been interesting if Uran had a Landa as well.
Anyways, have to say the lack of a...
