We hope all of you have a great holiday season and wonderful Christmas. Thanks so much for being part of the Cycling News community in 2025 and beyond!
Close call. Kittel was very impressive, but Cav was probably more consistent over the year as a whole. I voted for Kittel, partly because it's good to have someone new around who can mount a realistic challenge to Cav on his own ground, but it was a close thing.
They don't have that many options. Gilbert for the lead, but make GvA Plan B and give him a free role. Then they can switch to plan B if necessary depending on how things are going on the day.
I thought that Argos did a pretty good job all things considered and they'll probably improve a bit over the next year. They're going to find other teams chasing them down more from now on in, though.
I don't think that the OPQS lead-out is a disaster either, although they can certainly...
Quintana, maybe if he doesn't have to do too much for Valverde. Porte will be working for Froome.
Purito seems to be going for it this year.
I think that Evans stands a good chance if he aims at a podium place and rides accordingly. If he goes for the win I think that he'll end up placing...
It'll be interesting for sure.

Moat stylish (in a ridiculously entertaining fashion) has to be Cipo.
I've heard that too, but I have no personal experience to back it up. I've heard it so consistently though I'm inclined to think that there's something in it.
Jens! is a great guy, down to earth and a real laugh - great guy to spend a night in a bar with. Tony Martin is also a genuinely nice person. Kittel too. Boonen is very friendly and approachable, but from what I've heard I wouldn't want to go drinking with him - no way I'd keep up! If you're...
I suspect it's because he's not on the registered short list they have to select the final team from. If that's the case he's not eligible for selection.
I remember reading an interview with a footballer a while back (might even have found the link on here, but don't have time to look now). He was either Man U or Chelsea, I think. He talked about having so much surplus energy that he has to get up and go for runs at 3am. Oh yes, I thought...
