Most Suspicious Performance Of The Last 5 Years

Re: Re: Just a quick question that I don't think requires its own thread... Would Landis being supercharged also help him descending? I imagine being more alert or even just more comfortable is going to make a massive difference, even if it can't be measured so easily.

    Mo Thread

As a slight aside... say Mo is completely 100% clean. Could it be considered Performance Enhancing to train with athletes who dope? After all you'd be training with a form of pacemaker, whose sole purpose is to lower times.

What is your opinion of doping?

This is a much better stated way of what I was trying to say about asthma sufferers in the Simon Yates thread. It's the essence of sport and anything else is basically cheating.

Shocker! George Hincapie Buys Stage Win

He says that even though coming up to the last ascent he felt amazing “Y al pie del último puerto me sentía tan fuerte que estaba seguro de que iba a ganar” he accepted to pay Hincapie 50,000 so Hincapie wouldn't contest the sprint and he wouldn't lose any time preparing it as Caucchioli and...

    Doping in other sports?

It likely is the increased sensitivity of the testing, but I couldn't help but laugh at this part: Besides the improved testing, there is another possible culprit for the recent spike in Turinabol positives, though sources told Outside the Lines it's a bit more speculative. "The supplement...

Leading GB cyclist tests positive (yikes)!

Re: Re: Let's say I have a physical disability such as a loss of limb, motor neurone disease or blindness, but I want to compete at an elite level. What do I do? I compete in disabled sport. Why should asthma be any different?

    Doping In Athletics

Considering that Seppelt acted on information from a whistle blower then he, or probably any other investigative journalist, is going to need the same in whatever sport and in whatever country in order to get started.

    Doping in Soccer/Football

The tone of this article is horrific though: http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2016/apr/23/mamadou-sakho-drug-test-failure "Football generally gets an easier ride than most sports over drugs because it is neither a power nor an endurance sport" So then what does the acronym PED stand for then??

    Doping in Soccer/Football

I forgot to mention this from Luis Enrique's press conference on Sunday night after Barca lost again: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/apr/19/barcelona-luis-enrique-my-style-dont-care-dont-like-it Luis Enrique was also unapologetic for deriding a reporter who had asked him about the...

    Doping in Soccer/Football

Since I don't normally watch Madrid I was surprised to see which player was still chasing and pressing the Wolfsburg defence in the 93rd minute on Tuesday night. Anyone want to take a guess? (It wasn't Ronaldo)
