    I was thinking much the same myself looking at the Classification. I reckon the racing will be aggressive throughout, it has all the ingredients for a Classic.

    Scorched earth, blistering heat, desolate roads, unbearable suffering, doomed solo breakaway. It's so Vuelta, absolutely hypnotic :D

    You make a good point and whilst not being a true Classic the racing has been far from boring, for me the French success further elevates this particular Tour's importance.

    Although the GC has been done for some time I think the Stages have been exciting otherwise in the main.
