    Cadel Evans Discussion Thread

Personally, I would love to see him do that. Next year it would be fantastic if he targetted Tirreno, the Ardennes and the Giro. He should even skip the TDF and ride the Vuelta too, but he will probably have another crack at the TDF which will probably be a waste.

The Sky-Con-O-Meter. Predictions on how much more ridiculous they can get

I agree with the other posters above, if we are trying to globalise cycling, a Japanese or Chinese winner next year would be perfect

    2012 World Championship TTT

In a normal year, BMC could have had a good team for this - Evans, Pinotti, Phinney, Van Garderen, Hushovd. But given the form of Thor & Cadel, I doubt they will go even remotely close. In current form, I think Sky will win easily.

Will SKY make this ToF the most boring ever?

Don't forget at the TDF last year Wiggo did not have Froome, Porte or Rogers - where do you think he would have finished this year without his 3 helpers????

    2012 Tour de France: Stage 16: Pau → Bagnères-de-Luchon, 197 km

Since that puts Nibali almost 3'30" in front of VDB - I'm not sure Nibali would agree this was a yawn result for him...

    2012 Tour de France: Stage 16: Pau → Bagnères-de-Luchon, 197 km

My theory is that he now has a kid. In previous years, he used to train behind his wife, who would ride ahead on a scooter. Now, she is at home with the kid, and he has to train by himself. A lot of times he probably decided to stay home and spend time with his wife and kid rather than go...
