Australian 800m runner Peter Bol, who finished 4th at the Tokyo Olympics, has tested positive to EPO in his A-sample.
He is denying he has done anything wrong, like they all do, and is waiting for his B-sample result...

Come off it. The moderator was posting off topic nonsense and was clearly provoking me. What was being posted to me was against the rules and I reacted. I should not have reacted but if the moderator had acted like a moderator should instead of breaking the rules but posting off topic...
I am so out of following cycling I do not really care in a lot of ways but a 6 month ban for what I did seems to more than a little extreme. Yes I reacted to a moderators off topic nonsense in a way I should not have done but 6 months is a total joke.
The giro has been a total failure, a ridiculous start in Israel and disgraceful finish. I remember when this was a great race, no wonder I hardly ever watch cycling any more.
It is Landa, Henao and Knees ahead of the peloton but not in the first group. Maybe they will try an cross on a climb if they are only a small gap behind. Otherwise they will just be there to help if the group gets caught by the peloton
Starting the Giro in Israel would be a disgrace, and I am not referring to the political situation. It is an Italian race, it should stay in Italy, or just across the border. Starting the race huge distances away should not be being considered.
Re:
In the 2009 worlds if Gerrans had been strong enough he could followed, he was just not strong enough. The route suited Evans better, it was too hard for Gerrans.
In the MSR he won he was racing for defending champion Goss who was in the chasing group so that is why he did not take turns...
