I need to be clearer in my posts. What I meant was if any other potential GC riders stayed with him then he would attack and try to break them up. He ended up bringing Vande Velde and others up so it didn't work. I was just wondering if that was the plan.

I am wondering how much time Karpets is going to be allowed to finish with. He is not much of a threat in the ITT but can still threaten a top ten in the GC if given too much leeway today.
