    Liège - Bastogne - Liège 2026, one-day monument, 26th April

If Seixas does not pull, Pogacar probably still drops him at Roche. But Seixas might not have gotten 2nd, if G2 would have been closer. So I think he did the right thing, either he keeps Pogacars wheel and they go together to the finish line or he blows up.

Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

van Aert is becoming a bit of Pogacars Nemesis. First Hautacam 22 (basically he was a pain in his *** during the whole TdF that year), then last year's Champs Élysées and now PR.

Material has really improved over the last years, much less mechanicals than 20 or 30 years ago. Has become much more predictable and possible to lay out a specific plan for the teams. I think the last years it was mainly van Aert who suffered a decisive set-back due to a puncture.

Florian Lipowitz is the new German GC hope discussion thread

Lipowitz strengths seem to be his recovery abilities and keeping a very high level also for several weeks.

Paul Seixas: Tour de France Winner 2031

He is great, but maybe we should expext him be on TdF Podium this year automatically. Most good GC riders were more in their mid 20s, when they got their first top results, Seems to take some years to develop full recovery abilities. There are exceptions, of course, but they are rather few.

    Paul Seixas

I think it was de Clercq, after he raced Ullrich the first time, that asked Goodefroot where he had found this "monster". It seems they find many "monsters" these days...

    Tadej Pogacar and Mauro Giannetti

A guy can have more W or more W/kg or both, as compared to other elite athlets. Fine. But it seems unlikely that a guy almost never cracks, despite doing most of the work for 1,5 hours without much help. And then still rides away from the 2nd and 3rd best rider who are in good form. And not only...

Teams & Riders The "MVP" Mathieu Van der Poel Road Discussion Thread

For me a scenario where MVDP does not work with Pogacar, but Evenepoel rides away from both- That seems less likely than Pogacar closing the gap and MVDP wins the sprint. Or Pogacar first rides away from MVDP and then from Evenepoel. But overall better odds for MVDP than with what he was doing...

Ronde van Vlaanderen 2026, monument, April 5 (men's)

Might be an idea to change the course a bit, if one wants a different race. Even without Pogacar, yesterday would probably have seen a very similar race (just look at the last 5 winners). They could take out the last Kwaremont and replace it with a less hard climb. Same with the Kruisberg or...

Teams & Riders The "MVP" Mathieu Van der Poel Road Discussion Thread

Everyone can see there is one area where MVDP might beat Pogacar - a sprint. He wont loose a sprint against Evenepoel or Wout neither. Assuming he also knows that - why does he pull even a single meter?

Ronde van Vlaanderen 2026, monument, April 5 (men's)

    3s - 20s - 5s - 3s - 10s That must be a mental killer to Evenepoel

MVDP should just wait for Evenepoel

    Tadej Pogacar and Mauro Giannetti

for my part I was always clear that I consider motor-doping rather unlikely compared to medical doping. But hey, maybe in the end its not that complicated after all. Poor Bjarne if he figures out that he almost risked his life back then , but could have gotten to 7W/kg as well just with a bit...

    Tadej Pogacar and Mauro Giannetti

Because in the history of cycling there were never riders who doped more than their competitors? And there are no "super-responders"? An no teams / DSs that had a more elaborate doping program than other teams?
