2025 Tour de France CQ Manager game

Interesting that Tudor (4879) and Uno-X (4109) are both bringing better teams than most WT teams (albeit only from a CQ perspective).

    Giro d'Italia Giro D'Italia 2025 Stage 14: Treviso – Nova Gorica/Gorizia (195km)

14 stages in and no mountain stage. This giro route is abysmal. I watched the gravel stage live from when it came on air until the finish, and it was great. There has been no other stage I felt compelled to watch outside of the last 15 minutes. I used to love the Giro. Not so much anymore. I...

Giro d'Italia Il Giro d'Italia 2025: Who will win? Pre-race poll.

On this course, I’d rate Daniel F Martinez more a threat for victory than Hindley. Conceding that the only way either wins if Roglic crashes out, I actually rate Martinez higher than any other contenders outside of Ayuso and maybe Adam Yates. Martinez can time trial. Most other second and...

    Sean Quinn

Anyone have information on Sean Quinn? He has not raced since UAE when he DNFd with knee pain. Was hoping he’d take another step forward this year.

Teams & Riders EF Pro Cycling

I’ve been a fan of the slipstream program since their inception. Their performance today in LBL is the best team effort I can remember in a classic. Powless and Baudin snuffing out any pursuit of Healy has been great.

The 2024 CQ Ranking Manager Thread

Thanks to skidmark for running the game, and congrats to shalgo for the dominant win. Wasted a full day at work putting together a long list for 2025!

Quinn Simmons is the new Quinn Simmons

Glad to see Simmons back and with decent form. I don’t share his worldview, and understand that it may turn some off, but there is no denying his engine and talent. I do wonder if he might not be better suited to the US gravel scene. He might be the only rider who could consistently...

Alberto Bettiol is the new classics contender thread

Wow, Astana pays extra to get Bettiol for the fall, hoping he can secure some points to avoid relegation, and he’s not fit to race. Bad luck for Vino’s boys. For Bettiol’s sake, I hope he can find some shape and race well in the short time left this season, but the WT would be a better place...

    2024 Vuelta CQ Game

Been taking part in these games for a while, and I think this is my first victory. Guess blind squirrels do find nuts. Congrats to Madrazo and Vladimir and a big thanks to Armchair Cyclist for running the game! Props also to Sam6 for being like minded!

    2024 Vuelta CQ Game

Here’s hoping Skjelmose can overtake Gaudu in the TT tomorrow.

Almost two years in to his three year contract, I don’t know that the return on investment for what EF paid for Carapaz has been worth it, but he is certainly fun to watch. I’m not sure catching Yates was ever his objectives today. I think his objective was to make up some time in GC, and he’s...

Teams & Riders EF Pro Cycling

I was all for stage hunting at the Tour as a podium place did not seem realistic to me. At the Vuelta, I think there is a very realistic chance Carapaz ends up on the final podium, and could even win if he is in good shape and Roglic is not. All to say, I agree that GC should be the focus...

Who will win La Vuelta a España 2024?

Voted Roglic. Hoping for Daniel Martinez or Carapaz. In any case, the Vuelta is usually fun because it is far more open than the other GTs. Usually no teams to dominate the race and it seems that later in the season form can come and go more quickly and unexpectedly than in the Giro or Tour.

Teams & Riders EF Pro Cycling

I hope so, but I don’t think they win a bidding war with Astana and their new sponsors.

I wonder if signing Mihkels is a clue that Van den berg is moving on? From the list of riders out of contract I would hope they can resign Van den berg, Quinn, Rutsch and Bissegger at a minimum. Would love to see Carr and Bettiol back, but all signs point to both moving on.
