    Contador vs Froome 2015

If Sky send a man ahead, Tinkoff-Saxo should be patient and not do anything. Sky's DNA won't allow them to ride wheels in these situations and before you know it, the Sky train will mass at the front and start driving. If only Sky had T-Mobile's tactical acumen. :D:D:D:D

    Rate the 2015 Tour route!

I don't understand the reasoning behind the TTT so late. It is after the usually hectic first week and if any GC team loses a few riders before the stage they will be in huge trouble right from the outset in the TTT.

Fignon. Looked very elegant on the bike in nearly all situations. Bugno had a very smooth pedal stroke as well.

If you punch someone in a bicycle race, you should be tossed regardless of how small you might be or how "whiny" the other guy might be. If what occurred is true why should JRod get any leeway? If he punched another rider, no matter which one, why shouldn't he be thrown out?

2014: Contador vs Nibali, the official *****ing thread

The deficit was entirely due to the cobbled stage. Nibali took 2 seconds on Contador in Sheffield and Contador took 3 seconds back the day before (???) he crashed out. Too bad both AC and CF crashed out, as the TdF was shaping up to be awesome. Nibali timing his peak perfectly with a...

Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

Well, there's that book he wrote. And his entitled girlfriend rubs people the wrong way. On the road it's not Froome so much as Sky and Brailsford. Froome is an exciting rider who attacks when he can and races aggressively. He is a slave to his power meter and heart rate monitor, though...

Stage 16, San Martín del Rey Aurelio - La Farrapona, Lagos de Somiedo

Brambilla is an idiot. Not for the fight with Rovny, but for the fact that he went back to the group after his DSQ and didn't get right back into it with Rovny. They should have had round two right then and there. Now that Rovny has been told to scram, he should ride up to Brambilla and...

    Haimar Zubeldia: The Anonymous One

There's a reason for that. The camera showed him for a split second and voila -- off the back. No camera time and he would have invisibly finished high enough to keep his GC place.

    Newbie question on breakaways

IIRC, at Fuente De Movistar had some teammates in the break and helped Valverde once he could get away from Purito. The tactics was done by two teams on the stage!

    Newbie question on breakaways

Usually the guy in front drops back to help his leader. Perhaps the other domestiques with the leader have dropped off, so the guy in front soft pedals until the leader catches up. Contador won the 2012 Vuelta with a bridge to a break containing a bunch of Saxo guys. Can't recall who said...
