I don't think so. First, this is February. Second, we know he's elite on terrain like this. Third, competition wasn't the best. Fourth , we don't know what % of his max that is compared to others. Fifth, Tour is decided on 30+ minute climbs, not 5 minute ones

Almeida has explosiveness only in the last 200m of the stage, no chance of that mid climb

My conclusions today: Remco was the strongest and deserved to with but the motos on the climb just when he attacked were outrageous, 8 motos in 50m, it's a big problem in cycling. Also, if he wasn't that aero he could have been caught, I think he overdid it on the climb and was somewhat cooked...

Last year Molano won Brugge - De Panne ahead of Milan. Bauhaus, Groenewegen and Welsford were also in the top 10

We'll see, if he gets beaten tactically that's something else than just not being good enough to follow on the climb

Tomorrow we'll see if Remco's climbing is worse or to be determined still. I'd say there are no elite puncheurs here and the only elite climber is Almeida so if he gets dropped on the last climb tomorrow (2,3km @ 9,3%) that's pretty bad, even if he ends up winning the stage/race
