2014 4th Tour of Beijing, October 10 to 14 (WT)

For all the derision this race gets, it's interesting to see which riders seem to consistently target it, e.g., Martin and Costa, probably the two top favorites.

    Tour de l'Eurométropole 2014 (2.1), 02/10 - 05/10

Wonder who Trek backs in the sprint. Lots of firepower.

    Elite male WC road race

Could be some nasty weather. Interested to see how Matthews does. The profile looks good but he has done very little in one-day races of this length.

They might have a dry day tomorrow.

Ponferrada 2014 World Championships, Sep. 21st-28th

If it's all together for a sprint from Gerrans, seems likely Sagan might be there too, if he's continued to improve form-wise since the start of the Vuelta...

2014 Vuelta, Stage 21 TT: Santiago de Compostela→Santiago de Compostela (9.7 Km)

Short and flat should suit Malori a lot better than the first ITT.

2014 Grandes Prix Cyclistes: Québec et Montréal, 12 and 14 o

Fortunately, Costa will have another chance on Sunday, on a parcours that probably suits him better anyway.

2014 Grandes Prix Cyclistes: Québec et Montréal, 12 and 14 o

Wonder if one of the many GC-style climbers on the startlist can pull of a Gesink-esque surprise this year.

2014 Grandes Prix Cyclistes: Québec et Montréal, 12 and 14 o

Kristoff in attendance, and so is Spilak. Wonder if Katusha will divert many resources to trying to get Kristoff to the line in one piece.

    2014 Vuelta a Espana, Stage 17: Ortigueira→Coruña (191 Km's)

Boonen looking better and better. Wonder if he can nab one from Degenkolb with the rain as an ally.

Stage 16, San Martín del Rey Aurelio - La Farrapona, Lagos de Somiedo

I like Martin for the same reasons. He showed a lot of strength to put in the ride he did today after spending all that time chasing.

    2014 Vuelta a España, Stage 15: Oviedo → Lagos de Covadonga (152Km)

The gap to Contador on Stage 14 was small but hopefully Rodriguez and Froome smell blood and get motivated to make this stage exciting.

    2014 Vuelta a España, Stage 14: Santander → La Camperona. (201 Km)

Hopefully Contador's GC rivals will realize that the only way to beat him is to attack like crazy and take advantage of his weak team. That way we get an entertaining race.

    2014 Vuelta a Espana, stage 13: Belorado-Obrégon (188.7 km)

Fewer than 20 km between the Cat. 2 descent and the bumpy finish, that's not a whole lot of time to make the catch.

    2014 Vuelta a Espana, Stage 12: Logroño → Logroño (166 Km)

Hopefully Sagan contests this as well. Would be nice to see him in the mix in a pure sprint.
