By pure top performance I think he is, but GOATedness is inherently also a palmares game. He needs another 2 tours, another giro and ideally a Vuelta or 2 on top of some more classics. He can perhaps trade a couple of GCs for a PR and MSR though. If he is this exeptional for the next 3-5 years...

I think if this season didn't have the olympics a treble would've been possible. I just can't see it fit in a schedule that requires to keep it at 100% even in the week after the tour

I think this season as a whole has shown that he is way better than what he was coming back last year. I expect to see him fighting for gc again next year in perhaps a mediocre giro field.
