Tour de France Femmes 2024 (August 12th-18th)

I do feel like all the talk about Demi's team letting her down, while true, sorta unjustly makes it seem like Kasia backed into the win. Sure, she had an advantage going into the day, but Kasia was a minute behind at the top of the Glandon with 50km to go and lost the virtual lead a few k's...

I want her to win Worlds too just to give the people who design these things a damn headache.

Y'know in the spirit of the usual final stage, they should have had a champagne chugging segment at each checkpoint.

Bob Roll after Almeida comes in (I'm paraphrasing), "I don't think anyone will be faster than Jorgenson until Evenepoel comes in." Yeah no kidding Bob.

Meanwhile in the undercard, Jorgenson took 33 seconds out of Gee between checks 2 and 3.

Jury's still out on where his ceiling is but I think Jorgenson has sufficiently answered the question of whether he can handle 3 weeks.

Biniam was like 20 riders back until the last couple hundred meters, lol.

Was Roglic conceived on an Indian burial ground or something?

Jonas definitely benefited from starting the sprint there instead of waiting for Tadej to do it. Sure you don't want to be on the front in that situation, but if you are at least you're better off taking the initiative.

There are rum runners in the Applachians with nicer driveways than this road.

Jonas obviously is iffy on the gravel compared to the others, why would they burn Jorgenson pulling on the asphalt just to let Pogacar attack on the gravel again and not having anyone to lead Jonas? Wouldn't make sense.

Yeah, as long as he was just sitting on Pogacar it made sense to see if Laporte could bridge Vingegaard over to him.

I suppose there are worse places to hit the turf than a wet ditch.
