So contrary to what he's been saying recently in interviews he's still not out of the woods...https://www.idlprocycling.com/cycling/armstrong-steps-in-again-wiggins-heads-to-top-us-trauma-clinic-while-his-friend-pays-the-full-bill

    Jan Ullrich still has it!!!

Hit by a car while training a couple of days ago, apparently nothing too serious fortunately

Nice career! Once a GT contender (especially in Spain, was that 2009?) then a great helper who did fall a few times too many though it seems.

Power Data Estimates for the climbing stages

Yes I'd seen that but I would have liked to see an actual calculation. We'll have to trust them that they are applying their method consistently. These 100+ performances are mind boggling, something's at play here...

Watts2win says the same. Not sure how they calculate their performance index though.

Power Data Estimates for the climbing stages

I recently came across a site that has nice comparisons over the years, stages, etc... This is what they have for PdB : https://watts2win.eu/course/2024/TDF/56#s

And now he just said that Pogacar is the Merckx of his time...ok how would he know that ;-) He has a book out too, has anyone read any excerpts of interest ?

Official Lance Armstrong Thread: Part 3 (Post-Confession)

Dude was certainly talented but also "played ball"...got a sense for that in a few of his replies on his YT channel.

Official Lance Armstrong Thread: Part 3 (Post-Confession)

Horner has been weaseling around the "issue" for more than a decade. Let's remember he was in all likelihood a redacted name in the documents compiled by Tygart. He was in it 100% and was most likely "prepared" for his Vuelta win too.

Richie Porte - what do we know about him?

Sort of, he lost the Dauphine because of Froome...but they were on different teams by then, so fair game.

    Jan Ullrich

I doubt there are millions of people out there with the physiological capacities of Greg Lemond or Jann Ullrich ;-) You would know pretty early on if you're that gifted.

Right, it's too bad he's behaved like a clown pretty much ever since...a real trainwreck, just as bad as Ullrich really but with no "excuse".

    Jan Ullrich still has it!!!

Would his career really have "ended" in 95/96 if he hadn't doped though? Doesn't sound like he tried without doping...
