I was on the sidelines near Gerlach at the Schlitz Park race at superweek the year Levi lapped the field multiple times - solo (1999?). Gerlach had dropped out of the race and was screaming EPO, EPO, EPO at Levi every time he passed. Nice public display... and unforgettable.
