    Tom 'Pidders' Pidcock

He said in his interview he dropped that time the day before on purpose so he'd have a chance of getting in the break on the Alpe D'Huez stage

Re: Re: Ok, sorry. I thought at the time it was a mistake to put the final clarification sentence in, or in such simple terms. So it should have better read; "So curing Froome of Bilharizia may have made it more likely that any asthma he may have been predisposed to but which had been...

Re: It fits...but in an exactly opposite way from the way you want it to fit... Read - "Dr Fallon and colleagues experimented with laboratory mice genetically engineered with a tendency to asthma and anaphylaxis. They then infected the mice with schistosomes. "These animals did not develop...

    Wigans goes there. Cadence!

Re: Re: Not really. JRanton's semantics here suggest "was being honest and transparent" in this case (the italics are to show the unwritten implication) not [Froome] "is honest and transparent." That is how it reads. It does not imply he is honest and transparent in other cases.

Re: Re: So, essentially, in a thread about Froome and hence cycling specific, silvergrenade posted details of the UCI's TUEs, and Benotti countered with information about TUEs across the whole of sport?

    Fancy Bears hack ADAMS system

Interesting the juxtaposition of this news today with the info posted yesterday on the Froome thread on the number of TUE's granted by the UCI going from 239 in 2009 to 97 in 2010 and down to 13 in 2015. http://www.uci.ch/clean-sport/therapeutic-use-exemptions/

Re: Again, he didn't have an awful day performance-wise on Stage 15 - Sky got done over tactically. Froome's actual performance, poweroutput-wise, was probably normal for him on that stage. He just got caught napping. Props to Contandor.

Re: He didn't really have a 'crisis' though did he? He was just caught daydreaming (and the rest of his team tucked up in bed and fast asleep) early in a stage by a brilliant move from a brilliant and experienced rider.

Power meters: is Quintana right that they should be banned?

Re: Power meters: is Quintana right that they should be bann Where did I say that? I was posting an analogy to help think through the issue. I don't know if I would like race a car without a rev counter; would you? It's just a question.

Power meters: is Quintana right that they should be banned?

Re: Power meters: is Quintana right that they should be bann Should we ban Rev counters in racing cars? And what would be the effect? (I'm not talking here about F1 since we know they would just engineer around the problem, but real racing cars) Probably wouldn't significantly change the...

Re: Re: Snap. The view coming round onto Panorama Walk was to die for. Saw the 'Wiggins' guy. And some fella went past me like I was stood still (which I almost was, at about 12%) in a Dimension Data top.
