    Ninja of the Tour

Re: What do you mean, he didn't do anything to draw attention to himself? He actually did, trying to assassinate Thomas so he could get higher in the GC. On first glance, this would appear to be a very ninja-like thing to do. But a real ninja would have succeeded in such attempt. And, more...

    Tour de l'Avenir 2013 (N.Cup)

Very weird stage. Favourites as Vervaeke (even after he let the Belgian team work), Chevrier, Foliforov and Rivera couldn't keep up the pace, while Fernandez got almost 2 minutes after attacking on the last climb, at 9 km. I agree with roundabout that he utterly crushed them.

    USA Procycling Challenge 2013 (2.HC)

Optum has a new guy, Ryan Anderson, who did a very good job a few weeks ago: only Viviani was faster than him. My guess is that he will be their sprinter. In Utah, they also preferred Young over Hanson.

Best and Worst National Champs jerseys

This is nice to see, Radioshack has an actual national jersey. I only have screenshots from a Sporza video, so please forgive me for the quality of the pictures.

    National Championships 2013

I haven't thought of that. That jersey will be very, very ugly. Lose Stijn, Lose! Don't become champion :(

    National Championships 2013

It's 2013 indeed, and Devolder came back from the dead earlier this year. I don't think he's going to lose more than a minute here.

A cobbled race in early June???

Kassel, as a word, did exist, and was used for castles. However, it's a very old word and you'll not find it in a modern dictionary. It's still used in some names like the French village Cassel (on top of the Kasselberg). But indeed, it's "kasseistrook". But we Belgians (I don't know about the...

A cobbled race in early June???

Those cobble sections won't be much of a problem I'm afraid. They are quite short and well-maintained, and the last one is at 30 km from the finish. Don't expect them to be a decisive factor in this race. Despite this, it will not be as easy as the flat profile says (despite the fact that they...

    2013 Liège-Bastogne-Liège, 21/04/13 257km

I think it's going to be the same as last year: Vuelta and then the WC, and then some of the Italian classics. Better for him then the Tour. If he's good or bad, that doesn't matter. If there is a wheel to suck, you now where to find him. He probably panicked when Gilbert went on the St...

    2013 Liège-Bastogne-Liège, 21/04/13 257km

Read this, Gilbert is one of those riders.

    2013 Liège-Bastogne-Liège, 21/04/13 257km

Some delayed road works if I'm correct. Next year, it will be back.

WT - Amstel Gold Race - Sunday 14 April 2013

Great win by Kreuziger, he deserved it. Though, I'm curious what would've happened if Purito didn't fell. There were some Katusha guys left, and maybe closed the gap if he was still there - after all, they were helping the chase before the incident. But hope his contusions won't stop him from...

    Best u23 riders in 2013

Yes indeed, that's when he said that he would ride 2-3 years in the U23 categories.

    What beer ya drinkin'?

After looking only for a few seconds, I already loved this thread. Even while I live in Belgium, everybody is always about our lagers, most of which are terrible like Jupiler (heretics, daring to even speak about those unnameable things in the presence of the Holy Trappist Ales). But I'm glad...

    Best u23 riders in 2013

Before the start of the season, he already said that he would stay in the U23 category for 2 or 3 years. But I can imagine why he's on the wishing list for quite a few teams. It's only his first year and already won two races, and that's without counting the Bay Classics.
