Paul Seixas: Tour de France Winner 2031

And what if he had a slightly weaker day (everyone has that, remember Vingegaard being dropped by Pidcock in the Vuelta) and Lipowitz a great one? That surely reduces the gap naturally, no? Besides, if you drop everyone hard on the first stage, gain time in the ITT, but your so called drop of...

Paul Seixas: Tour de France Winner 2031

But Seixas' abilities to recover aren't bad. He just didn't drop Lipowitz today. Pogacar was (almost?) dropped on Montjuic, Vingegaard didn't drop Lenny Martinez. Get a grip. The guy just won his third stage, people here question his recovery abilities as if he was hard dropped today...

Okay, he wouldn't win this stage. Plus, Soler himself said that he is free to ride for himself in races where Pogacar isn't riding. These are most of the races in the calendar.

Paul Seixas: Tour de France Winner 2031

With the track record some of his opponents have, he can be top 5 even with a significant drop of performance.

Soler has never really been a domestique though. He's been mostly a stage hunter and leaders with zero kick usually don't get a lot of wins

Only countless for those who can't count to 3. He has "only" 5 wins in Movistar - one day race, Paris-Nice GC and 3 stages.

    Sadly, dropping himself as well.

He is quite good cyclist for a person with zero legs.

Even then he wouldn't be second. Alfonso Braz is before him in GC and he is in the break as well.

    General News Thread

Tour de Romandie route has been released. Strangely, no ITT (except for the usual prologue. I like it, but Pogacar can win all the road stages if he wants. Profiles: https://www.tourderomandie.ch/en/

Seems like the narrative I so often hear "even french people hate french people" isn't completely wrong.

    UAE-Team Emirates thread

I don't think any of them would want to join UAE. Limited chances in any race.

He can still be murdered in the toughest stages in most editions though. And it's unlikely to make up grounds in the ITT. Perhaps his biggest hope should be a white roads stage.
