    Alejandro Valverde Discussion Thread

Probably because it hasn't been named "next/new..whatever". At this point someone making a thread "which thread comparison is the most accurate" would be trendy. Although "Roglic is the new Rominger" sounds like a clear winner.

Maybe he just thinks it's still 2022 and he's still among the strongest..?

Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

Don't think any team would be interested to help UAE set a hard tempo before Cipressa. They are better of to save their helpers in order to be close(r) after Cipressa and chase Pogacar. I

And even if they do reduce the peloton on Capo Berta, I think plenty of people will return as they won't have the fire power to nuke the flat as well, so they will probably once again start Cipressa way out of position.

Not yesterday though. I think it was 2 weeks ago.

Question Tour de France: 2023 Vingegaard vs 2025 Pogacar

But that's not 100% true.. Pogacar showed weakness on stage 5 and that WASN'T a super hard stage. Then Visma went for the kill, totally expecting that they will win the Tour that day. Only that they didn't. If Pogacar was as weak and Vingegaard as dominant, surely Pogacar would have been dropped...

Question Tour de France: 2023 Vingegaard vs 2025 Pogacar

Surely if you dominate every terrain and generally you're stronger than your opponent through the race you are more dominant. Surely we can argue that stage wise Granon and Combloux are the most dominant performances, but IMO you can't be more dominant if you get dropped numerous times. .

I think we'll understand which take is more accurate in less that 2 weeks.

In for Remco dropping Vingegaard on Pradell.

For that he has to actively fight for position before Cipressa (assuming that Pogacar attacks there). This is going to be a massive challenge.

Wonder if MVDP isn't doing too much in this race.

Well, Visma lost the 2nd place mostly because of Jorgenson's crash on the gravel. Pellizzari was dropped at the time. Jorgenson was the stronger rider through the week (did a lot of work for Van Aert as well on stage 4), so I don't think Visma will lose any sleep between 2nd and 3rd position.

Piganzoli should be good. Kelderman as well, based on 2022, 2023 and 2025 Kuss is good over 2 GT's as well.

Teams & Riders Jonas Vingegaard thread: Love in Iberia

I can see your point and I don't fully deny it. But for a GT rider aiming for 2 GT's while riding against Pogacar probably requires a bit measured racing. I would be more critical to him if he was doing Nibali 2014 or, God forbid, Armstrong in his late years. But at least he shows in a good...

Del Toro is quite inconsistent. Lipo hasn't been outside of top 10 last year.
