Tour de France Tour de France 2023, stage 18: Moûtiers - Bourg-en-Bresse, 184.9k

And there's still plenty of cackling about French place names. It's so frat boy. I would love to know more about this demographic of fans who came on board during the Armstrong years and still try to stay in that bubble.

He won a Giro stage in 2019 but not much since. He was the only guy to follow Pog and Vingegaard on the climb yesterday, so he's clearly in the form of his life.

Giro d'Italia 2022 Giro d'Italia, Stage 19: Marano Lagunare – Santuario di Castelmonte 178 km (Friday, May 27th)

I drifted away from the race a bit after Bardet left . . . But increasingly I suspect that I'm not missing much.

2021 World Championships in Flanders: Road Races

Me crossing fingers right now: "don't take an illegal bottle, don't take an illegal bottle . . ."

Tour de France Tour de France 2021, Stage 11: Sorgues – Malaucène, 198.9 km

What a coup it would be if Julien Bernard could win here -- given that his dad won the Ventoux ITT in 1987. Whatever the outcome, I'm sure he's experiencing all the feels.

Awesome stuff! He's like Voeckler + more raw talent.

Teams & Riders Julian Alaphilippe Discussion Thread

Re: Re: The math checks out! Seriously, though, it will be interesting to see what MVP can do now that he's properly feared (if that's the word). Alaphilippe and Fuglsang got away fair and square at Amstel and presumably would have worked together longer if they'd known what they were dealing...

    Milano - Sanremo: March 23rd, 2019

A great change from the usual script, right? Anyway, I've been pulling for Alaphilippe ever since he won on Mount Baldy in 2015. But at this point he's way better than I ever thought he'd be. Does he still have anything left for the Ardennes next month?

Teams & Riders Julian Alaphilippe Discussion Thread

A worthy KOM and a fun dude all around. His little moment with Yates on the lower slopes of the final mountain was quite nice, as was his offer of a Coke to the camera bike. He does have an annoying habit of finishing second in major one-day races, but this year it feels like he's slowly getting...

    Tour 2018 stage 21: Houilles - Paris 116 km

The sheer hatred of Demare kind of boggles my mind. Are you guys just frustrated because Bouhanni isn't here for you to *** and cry about?

    Le Tour 2018 stage 18:Trie-sur-Baïse - Pau 171km

So is there actual reason to think AD took a tow yesterday, or is it just a meme that people enjoy piling onto (because AD is so bland that there aren't any feelings attached to him otherwise)?

    Le Tour 2018 stage 10: Annecy > Le Grand-Bornand 158,5 km

Amazing that this is only JA's first TDF stage win. But, then again, it's amazing that Flèche was his first classics win. The quality was there; it was just a matter of time.

2016 Vuelta a España, Stage 20: Benidorm → Alto de Aitana

Re: 2016 Vuelta a España, Stage 20: Benidorm → Alto de Aitan Helluva display from Latour in his first GT. And a class act from Froome, both for racing to the end and for taking defeat like a champion.

Which Rider and Race would you choose to defend our Earth?

Re: Which Rider and Race would you choose to defend our Eart Bouhanni, easily. Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women.

Prediction: Zubeldia steals the whole thing at the last second.
