If you follow the Tour history, it is the same finish as 1997 (Erik Zabel won), 2008 (Alejandro Valverde took yellow) and 2015 (Nicholas Roche gave BMC Racing Team a win). It also features in the Grand Prix de Plumelec.

STARTLIST (men's elite road race)

As you see, there are plenty of good names and entertaining riders such as Bakelants, Benoot, Gilbert, Hermans, Alaphilippe, Gallopin, Aru, Brambilla, Felline, Moscon, Ulissi, LL Sanchez, Oomen, Poels, Kwiatkowski, Kreuziger, Stybar, Rui Costa, Sagan, Dan Martin and many more.

Should be great.

Junior ITT

3-Iver KNOTTEN (Norvège) 36'09"
4-Stefan BISSEGGER (Suisse) 36'24"
5-Andreas LEKNESSUND (Norvège) 36'31"

Bit of a surprise by Brunel. Hirschi and Knotten as expected.

U23 ITT follows soon. This will be a battle between Ganna, Cavagna, van Hooydonck and maybe Kämna.

Boy, what a performance by Kämna. He absolutely crushed the others. Nice ending to a difficult first pro season for him.
Yeah, Kämna has a monster engine and is a rather light guy (65kg heavy and 181cm tall), it's nice to see him bac on track.
He had a pretty bad start as a pro but let's be real, Stölting going PCT turned out to be a bit of a mess, so let's hope that he'll have an easier time at Giant.

No Denmark or Norway in the list of countries ? Strange !

Denmark couldn't afford to go.
No idea about Norway

Norway said that they didn't know if they would have a refund of the travel and hotel costs that they paid in Nice so they decided to not send an elite team. Also, they didn't know if their big names for this parcours (Kristoff, EBH, Enger, etc.) wanted to go.
