2011 IAAF World Athletics Championships.

Anybody watching this. Our poor cousin is having its blue ribbon event.:p

Kenya already owning Womens long distance. 6 out of 6 medals.

Right now its the 100 qualifiers and they look very interesting.

Justin Gatlin is back:) And theres this Lemaitre character who is the first caucasian to ever break.

It is very ****ing off however to keep hearing how "great" bolt is etc etc. "Greatest athlete in the world" etc.

Same way when watching tennis they always say all other sports are jelous that they dont have Nadal and Federer, the 2 greatest humans in history, yada yada yada.

The best showdowns will probably be 110 hurdles and 800. Dont know who will win 1500 either.

I like Kenenisa Bekele too so will enjoy seeing him dominate though i would like Lagat to get a gold even though hes probably about 40 now.

Yeah 110m will be great (my tipp is Robles).

And am looking forward to what high cadenced, big hearted, best trained Lance Ar... err... Usain Bolt will do in the 100 & 200 finals.

Im hoping Tyson can challenge him in 200. Unlikely but Gay is a better 200 than 100 and Bolt the other way around. I dont think theyve ever faced eachother there.

I doubt it but would be good to see someone challenge bolt.

Like Asafa Powell. OTOH at least Gay dominated Osaka while Powell always collapsed under pressure. No different in 2011.

Powell does have a olympic gold though, Gay doesnt even have an olympic medal.

A bit unfair though. I hate when they say that Bolt has 3 golds and Bekele only has 2. If there was a 4 by 10 000m the etheopians would be on the winners podium before the other teams even passed on the baton.

I've just watched the morning session today and can anyone tell me what the point of the race walking is? All of them were "lifting" as I believe it is called yet nothing was being done about it. Do they just accept that aslong as you are doing that silly hip motion you are "walking"?

Yesterday display by the kenyans was out of this world. The second european on the 10000m was almost lapped! The finish line saved her. That is pure dominance. It was also nice to see the four of them celebrating. Only fair as they really played it as a team.

Today I'm looking to the W Long Jump final. Naide Gomes surpised me yesterday, getting the qualyfication on the first attempt. She's still debating an injury, but the pressure is off this time. After the olympic disaster, she could really use a break. I doubt, though.

The 100 m final...wiating for the universe to surprise me about that:D

She is. Already qualified to the final, which will take place Tuesday on the late session. LINK

Long Jump Final being eclipsed by the 100 m semi-finals on live coverage:mad:

I've been right to next to Powell before though didn't get his autograph. Seemed quite a humble guy for a sprinter.

Australia's Steve Hooker seems to be having a hard time since the Comm games. Maybe Sally Pearson will get a medal for Australia!

If you ask me her s father is crazy:eek:, and sponsors killing her

LOL. Mr. Arrogant-Clinic Bolt DQ for false start.... That´s what you get when you built your organization (IAAF) around one "Superstar". Like Cycling did from 1999-2005. We all know how it ended. :D
