I am not a fan of stages with HC climbs so far from the end, but still, should be a good day for breaks.

Leopard should try and tear it up on the climb.
see what kinda damage they can do.

they wont ofc.

They did very well today in dropping the great Tony Martin!:p

If Samu was up for it again, I'd love to see that.

I would have picked Voeckler for this stage, but obviously not now. I'd say Lulu, TJVG and Casar will be in the break. Go TJVG!

This stage is suitable for a break away - I'd say Casar will be there-and perhaps LULU Sanchez might give it a go too- Samu can try something in the decent if he feels like-but considering the effort he did today- I doubt it....

I think this could actually be a pretty exciting stage, with HTC/OPL/Movistar refusing to let a big break go because of wanting sprint points. And Gilbert has got to be eyeing this as a chance at some easy sprint points at the end, so I think OPL will work hard to keep it together tomorrow. I think there will be some very lively chasing in the last 40K as splintered groups try to come back together. Maybe 50-60 guys at the finish?

Gilbert did ok today allthough he might feel it tomorrow. Same for Vanendert and they are the 2 best climbers on Lotto.

Rojas - saving himself today perhaps? Movistar are down to 7 and Amador is probably still struggling.

A break very well might make it.

i can tell for sure 1 rider that will be on the break of the day

163 Rui Alberto Faria Da Costa (Por) Movistar Team +33.05

he finished on the main bus today and he already said he wants another win and that for him a stage(or 2 in this case) is much more important then a spot in the top 40 of the GC

40 km from the mountain top to the finish, with plenty of those being downhill, is not a lot. This will be a great stage if everyone goes all out, or if we go back in time to 1993.

This is what I was thinking, Eventhough with Sanchez having a go today, not sure about tomorrow but I believe this could be a real chance to get back in the GC race, especially with the 2 big favorites not looking the best today. Get a teammate in a breakaway, because having Perez in front of him today helped out in that little group today.

Shame Peter Sagan isn't in the tour.

He could give EBH a run for his money on sprints like these.

He's 20 and we've never seen him race two weeks. Let him develop his recovery before we start bewailing his not being here.

Besides, in this race he could quite easily have crashed out already or been taken out by an errant helicopter.

Well I didn't actually mean he should be here (they probably know better what is best for him) but it would've been cool to see what he could do.

EDIT: I like to see the best of the best at the tour and there is no denying he is one of the best at what he does.
