THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

Chris Horner

Roman Kreuziger

Vincenzo Nibali

3 men, 9.3km, 6 seconds! In or Out! Nothing more! 11 minutes at 101%!
No climbs anymore! No wheels to follow! Just each man with his thoughts!

The clock will be too faster or too slow... the way too short or too long... the fatigue will dominate... a big smile just for one of the three...for the others two just a smile through gritted teeth...

The parcours:

just 10 turns in 9.3km!

Kreuziger used to be very good at short distances like this, i bet he will win the general classification.

Chances of winning.

Nibbles 41%, Horner 39% and Kreuziger at 20%.

I put 10 euro on Papy Horner at 33/1 at the start of the week. I don't think he will win it now, though....Kreuziger for me too.

Early starter who's been keeping his powder dry to win the stage. Kreuziger to win the overall.

I have a feeling that no matter how Horner does Radioshack will finish this race with at least one win.

I would say Horner has the least chance but hes last to start and will have time checks which is a big plus, i think Nibali is the strongest seeing his efforts on climbs, Kreuzinger is dangerous too, its going to be an intriguing contest

Cancellara for the stage. Kreuziger the best of the overall contenders. Horner to just keep the overall win by like 2 seconds.

I really hope for Horner. I also think some may be underating him a little bit.

He has now and again been able to put in a good tt when it has mattered, like Cali and the PV finale which he won, even if they were both way longer and the latter was quite hilly.

I think it really could go either way.

Something can be said for either one, though if Nibali really has improved his tt for this year, then its his to lose.

Spartcus FTW

Nibali for the overall...I hope and pray :) If he loses by 6 seconds, Sagan the Young Turk still has some explaining to do.......
You seem to forget Sagan helped Nibali get whatever place he got on the TTT, and yesterday's stage bonus points, so be gentle with him. ;)
Nibali for the overall and btw, he won't need those seconds! :D

I believe Nibali's TT improved quite a bit during the winter, in the Tour de San Luis 22k tt, he only lost 23 seconds to Levi. I actually think he can easily pull back 6 seconds against Horner in 10k. (Assuming horner's tt is the same level as last year, but you never know). Kreuziger flat TT is below both Nibali and Horner.

Hope Chris can deliver the goods ...

I'm biased because of the game so the overall:

1. Horner
2. Kreuz
3. Nib

Spartacus will take the stage :D

I can't look past Fabian for the win but overall will come down to the wire.

I think the effort the Nibs put in the stage before last might end up costing him. I like Kreuziger for overall, think he has been saving himself a bit more and can pull back the 5 seconds he needs.

What about the best young rider, can Meyer pull back 19 seconds on Poels. I think it is possible but don't really know what Poels is like in a time trial. The green edge fan boy in me hopes he can get best young rider and crack the top 10.
