The climb looks like a good place for a launch pad.

Graeme Brown won last time into Victor Harbour, says all you need to know about how tough that "climb" is :)

Didn't say it was an overly hard climb but it provides an opportunity for an attack.

Rabo DS says it's a tricky finish, with a roundabout and two corners in the final kilometre. Gonna be a crash festival again.

You're right, the roundabout (1.2km to go) is followed by right turn (0.7km) and left turn (0.6km).
Go Robbie! :)

Roundabout @ 300m (please tell me they have taken this one out!)

yep, it is seen on the google maps (satellite) but i'd say that is a pretty little roundabout. nevertheless why did not they make a finish on Victoria St. without that turns (and roundabout) at all

two very sharp corners. But stupid really, no reason for them, could have just gone straight and finished there. guess they wanted a sea front finish.

if you look closely there is a little roundabout about 100m after the last corner. enough to cause a few problems. daft

Agreed, but if the finish was just a mile long straight, it would have been easy pickings for Griepel. This will certainly make things more complicated for Lotto, especially without Roelandts, and probably more interesting for us.

The roundabout is normally removed.

Andre won the bunch sprint couple of years ago, so expect similar result.

They are not going up Crowsnest at Port Elliot, but going up the Adelaide Road and doing what we call the sawpit loop.

This is a breeze for the peleton, so expecting a bunch sprint.

I work in Victor Harbor and looking forwrad to the action.

I don't know if it will be more interesting. The person in 4th-5th position going into the last corner will probably win.
And let's hope everyone stays ok and nobody crashes.

There was a >20 knot SSE all afternoon at Sellicks Hill today, the point of the KOM tomorrow. Forecast for tomorrow is similar, winds maybe a bit lighter. They will be riding into it the whole way over the ridge though.

Not quite as strong down on the other side of the peninsula, but could still be some crosswind action once they turn through Goowla.

Wouldn't it be a fun concept? "To make the race a bit more exciting and give different riders a chance to win, we've decided to replace Old Willunga Hill with the Zoncolan".

Now that would be something :D.

There isn't any live steam of the TDU unfortunately.

You can find a very short summary of stage 2 here.
Normally you can find all recent races here, but I see stage 1 dissapeared from CanalF10... don't know why.
