The longest stage of ToC will take place today. Sagan will be looking to increase his lead before heading in to the TT on thurday. Or a breakaway might see this as the stage in which they can actually stay away.

They will start at around 500 meters, highest point is at 1180 meters.

I'm gonna go way out on a limb and say Sagan wins this one...

With that said, this could see a break slip away if Liquigas decide they don't feel like chasing. Doubt that'll happen though...

Kittel to win, the finish is a long way from the last climb so I can see him getting back in, Boonen will also be a strong rival, he had equal speed but worse positioning ysterday. However Sagan certainly shouldnt be discounted

Enjoying the tarmac so far? ;)

Haven't you seen the 4 days of magnificent racing he have had so far on the full HD stream available by the race? There so much more to enjoy then only the tarmac. So much better then that crappy race on bad tarmac and ugly sights going on in Italy atm

*hint: sarcasm*

Stage one and two were excellent.
Yesterday was abit boring due to the wind on the last climb.
Every stage was ridden harder then any Giro stage so far.
In the Giro it's only fast the last 10km.

No ToC stage was ridden at over 40 km/h. Yesterday's Giro stage was close to 42 km/h.

Check the Altitude meters/ distance ratio of yesterdays Giro stage and of the three California stages

You have exact numbers? Giro stage was up and down all day, while the toc stages look mostly flat with a couple of cat-3 like climbs in each one.

Could also look at stage 8 Giro vs stage 2 toc. Both were raced around 37.5 average

you are just completely hopeless, let's hope for another tony fail by the first mountain stage of the tour so we can be BR free for a couple months again.

I don't know why you're bothering arguing with BR. He has an undying love for the Tour of Cali, it could be the dullest week's racing and he would still proclaim it the 2nd biggest race in the world.

Wouldn't really call that arguing, seemed pretty one-sided to me.

But yeah, I'll stop now. 40 or so kilometers of peloton following Timmy Freaking Duggan is much harder racing then 3-4 teams chasing.

If you doubt it proove me wrong.

By the way. Amgen Tour of California has a much smaller field. Smaller field= lower average. That's no rocket science.

I

So, by the way, you're off to a new excuse now, since your first one obviously failed. Well, Tour de Picardie was much higher average then ToC for every stage (40+ for 2 of them) with a smaller field. Even the friggin' tour of Malasya with just over 80 people finishing each stage was higher average speeds ffs

Even if he is wrong you should at least make an effort instead of ignoring your own arguments
