The final stage of the ToC has arrived. Gesink will most likely really enjoy this short day.
The riders will ride from Beverly Hills to Hollywood to Downtown LA where they will ride a circuit. They will ride the 8km circuit 6 times and they will finish at LA Live.
Many recreational cyclists are expected to head out to the circuit in the morning since they are allowed to ride on it a few times before the pro's get there.

Another one for Sagan?

Hard to look past for Sagan...

That said, Kittel and McEwen will both be really hungry a) Because they've missed out on all the sprints thus far and b) because it's McEwen's last pro race.

I'm going to go with Sagan, but part of me definitely wants to say Kittel. The man is so fast when he manages to pull of a good, clean sprint.

Kittel is gone.

would be nice if one of the US teams can get a win, suits their kind of racing (but Sagan will likely win another).

Pretty insane weekend at LA Live. 2 Basketball teams and one Hockey team play 5 playoff games in three days and a bike race plus a sportive of sorts.

Nice there's homeless man's cart on the road. I'd keep a keen eye for cars if I were in that break, not sure how they managed to close that many streets in LA but I'm sure there's plenty of people trying to cross those streets.

I'd say he will finish in 4th place based on merit, or lack thereof. To win a Tour you have to be able to TT ánd climb well. He did the former exceptionally but simply came short on the latter. He needs to improve his climbing.

Why is it a shame? He did his best and came up short, especially again on the climbing part of the Tour. If he wants to finish podium, it's very simple, he should put more effort into getting better at climbing. The way he is now he won't even be a top 10 contender at GT's, his climbing is simply too bad

Beat you to it. :p

I enjoyed the tarmac tremendously. But as for the AtoC. It's a shame there aren't mroe stages like Mt Baldy.
With just 1 stage of real excitement I can't see how their status will grow. Plus the field is always the same. Some really good Americans and maybe 1 foreigner who cares. Most of the time there are 2/3 other foreigners for the GC but they don't care.

I am a big fan of his, so that's why I am bummed about it. It's obvious he needs to improve his climbing to become a GT GC rider. When a rider you really like fails to get a good result, it's kind of depressing. :(

Last year they had 2 proper climb stages though. That was good.
During the first 3 stages there were plenty of hills, but it was always atleast the last 10k flat which is useless. They could've used 1 of those hills as a finish.
