2013 Consolidated Team Depth Rankings

Sorry for the late start with these, but my day job gets really busy up until roughly late March, and then I was working on an additional project for the bosses, that just wrapped up.

For those who don't remember from last year, this ranking is based on the team rankings for each individual race. For each stage and one-day race, rankings are based on the combined finishes of the top three finishes for each team of each stage, for the overall ranking, rankings are based on the combined times of the top three finishes of each team on each stage. Only ProTeams and Professional Continental Teams are ranked. Teams are ranked on the UCI points scale for WorldTour events, for non-WorldTour events, the points scale is as follows:

.HC: 50-30-20-10-4, 3-2-1 for each stage
.1: 40-20-12-6-2, 3-2-1 for each stage

As I catch up with each week, I'll post them. Comments are always welcome, even if the comment is, in so many words "these rankings are horrible"!

If you believe that the achievement of a team who place 21st, 22nd and 23rd in a race is better than that of a team who have 1st, 7th and 59th, then you carry on. Just don't expect anyone else to take it seriously.

So why was Saxobank not in the update?

Because they didn't finish in the top three in the team rankings (based on adding the places of the top three finishers on each stage, keep in mind that their team wasn't very strong aside from Contador) on any stage, and didn't finish in the top five in the team rankings overall (they finished 11th).
